La mia recensione della nuova collezione Natale 2019 Trollbeads "Sole, Luna e Stelle" - My review of the new Christmas collection 2019 Trollbeads "My Sun, My Moon, My Stars"

Come ben sapete Trollbeads è una azienda sita in Danimarca.

Chi ha avuto modo di visitare Copenhagen nel periodo natalizio, riferisce di una città totalmente immersa nell'atmosfera festiva, talmente ricca di decori ed illuminazioni da sembrare un enorme villaggio di marzapane.
Nell'aria si respira il profumo del Gløgg, una bevanda che può assomigliare al nostrano vin brulé ma composta da uvetta, mandorle, cardamomo e arancia con una base di brandy; dolci alla cannella, biscotti alla vaniglia ed allo zenzero completano l'armonia di profumi, senza dimenticare l'aroma di pino delle casette dei ben sette villaggi di Natale e delle famigerate birre che vengono prodotte esclusivamente per questo periodo dell'anno.
I colori predominanti sono il rosso, il verde e l'oro e tutto l'insieme è volto a ricreare la tipica atmosfera "hygge" che possiamo tradurre in "accogliente".

Una tradizione importante per i danesi sono le Cartoline di Natale che vengono inviate ad amici e parenti e la maggior parte di queste missive portano il francobollo natalizio. La Danimarca, infatti, nel dicembre del 1904, emise il primo francobollo natalizio al mondo; da allora altri paesi hanno adottato questa usanza.
Ora ci è più chiaro il perché Trollbeads, ogni anno, promuova il "Condividi una cartolina di Natale": è un modo per portare avanti una tradizione e mettere in contatto gli appassionati del marchio di tutto il mondo.

Tra i vari decori che si possono trovare nelle abitazioni danesi, ci sono i "kravlenisser", piccoli folletti di carta.
Anticamente il Natale danese era celebrato però a metà gennaio e a dicembre si festeggiava il "Sol Invictus", ossia il Dio Sole, astro invincibile che sconfigge le tenebre, dal colore rosso dorato, che si contrappone all'argenteo chiarore della luna. Sole e luna quindi, giorno e notte, da sempre considerati due elementi di importanza primaria.

Ed ecco che la nuova collezione Trollbeads "Sole, Luna e Stelle" sembra dunque prendere spunto dal passato, dai significati di questo periodo festivo, nonché dai colori e dai disegni.

Per potervi recensire la nuova collezione natalizia, ho dunque fatto una incursione in gioielleria e vi confesso che, per la prima volta dopo parecchi anni, sono stata pervasa da quelle particolari sensazioni che solo i preparativi al Natale sanno donare.

Il "Set Notti Magiche" dei designers Tenzin Phuntsok & Kalden Chopel, ha catturato immediatamente la mia attenzione: si compone di sei beads in vetro decorati in maniera decisamente festiva, dai caldi toni che rimandano senza dubbio alla natura, oltre che ai classici colori del Natale.

Scopriamoli singolarmente.

Vortice di Emozioni è un bead dal fondo nero con intorno ed in rilievo, motivi a ghirigoro in avventurina dorata dall'effetto glitter.
Un bead decisamente "tattile" e sfarzoso. Essendo realizzati a mano, i ghirigori possono differire un poco tra un bead e l'altro.

Dolce Natale si presenta con inclusioni a murrina di forma tonda, bicolori in avventurina dorata e bianco, possono ricordare i biscotti della festa con zenzero e glassa. Il fondo risulta essere in avventurina verde petrolio scuro.
Del set è l'unico bead liscio e, a prima vista, in minor sintonia con gli altri cinque.

Cuori Gioiosi, dal fondo rosso scarlatto, presenta una serie di cuori in avventurina dorata dal contorno bianco, in rilievo. Questo bead si distingue in quanto è l'unico dal colore vivace. Sommariamente i cuori sono ben realizzati e delineati ma, il fatto a mano può conferire qualche differenza tra un bead e l'altro.

Cuori della Speranza altro non è che la variante colore verde bosco del precedente bead. Il fondo di questo bead può presentare sfumature di verde più chiare da un bead all'altro.

Polvere dei Desideri presenta un colore di fondo verde salvia scuro con sottili righe orizzontali in avventurina dorata, sormontato da una serie di germogli a rilievo in avventurina dorata (in gergo "bud"). Un bead imponente raffigurante le "bolle dei desideri" ma che può rimandare a pigne ed appunto ai germogli. Anche qui possono esserci piccole variazioni della dimensione dei "bud" tra un bead e l'altro. 

Dei sei vetri, questo è quello che preferisco.

Rami Dorati dal fondo in blu notte scuro con piccole inclusioni in argento, è sormontato da una serie di rami a rilievo in avventurina dorata bordati di bianco. Dedicato all'albero di Natale, dove ogni ramo viene decorato e dove ogni albero ha la sua stella, anche lui ha un chiaro rimando alla natura ed alle tradizioni, senza dimenticare la neve che cade e si posa sui rami.

In linea di massima i rami risultano abbastanza simili tra un bead e l'altro ma, come sempre, non bisogna dimenticare che sono realizzati a mano, dunque passibili di differenze.

Gli argenti della collezione sono sette tra beads, pendenti, anello ed orecchini.

Quello che reputo il "pezzo forte" della collezione è il "Pendente Luna e Stelle" del designer Thor Høy, dove una mezzaluna di dimensioni ragguardevoli, può essere infilata nella Collana d'Argento (con Perla, Onice o altre pietre a piacimento), volta ad accogliere la perla ed a rivelarne la presenza attraverso un intarsio a stella (per lato), intarsio a cui è abbinata una incisione, di dimensione minori, sempre a forma di stella leggermente brunita, anch'essa per lato.

 

Ho scelto la collana lunga cm.60 senza alcun altro bead aggiunto, trovo la semplicità di questa combinazione sia molto raffinata.

 

Il bead "Luna e Stelle" altro non è che una versione ridotta del pendente, su cui si trova solamente l'intarsio a forma di stella (uno per lato). La dimensione consente di abbracciare parzialmente una Pietra Rotonda o una Perla.

Il "Pendente Anima Romantica" del designer Ragnar R. Jørgensen, fa parte di una "mini serie" ed è un cuore in argento interamente intarsiato con motivi a voluta che ricordano il nuovo bracciale Start "Messaggio del Cuore". Perfetto sulla Collana d'Argento classica, per i più audaci può essere indossato anche sul bracciale e, grazie ai fori presenti sopra e sotto, è possibile infilarlo anche nelle Collane a Fantasia.

Anche in questo caso Trollbeads ha pensato ad una versione più piccola, il bead "Anima Romantica", con i medesimi intarsi del pendente. I fori laterali consentono l'ingresso per il bracciale ed il foro superiore può dare la opportunità di inserire il bead obliquamente, sfruttando come secondo foro uno dei due laterali.

Completano questa mini serie gli "Orecchini Anima Romantica" e l'"Anello Anima Romantica".
Gli orecchini in argento a forma di cuore, riportano l'esatto motivo intarsiato della chiusura del nuovo start "Messaggio del Cuore". Piccoli e leggeri, ideali per chi desidera qualcosa di poco vistoso e comodo da indossare quotidianamente.
L'anello in argento, con lo stesso motivo a cuore, risulta anch'esso leggero ed ha il gambo squadrato.

La collezione "Sole, Luna e Stelle" si fregia di una nuova pietra e non poteva che essere la "Pietra di Sole Rotonda" della designer Lise Aagaard, dal delicato colore arancio-bruno, la sua brillantezza è data dalla presenza di piccole particelle di ematite.
Questa pietra, in cristalloterapia, consente di apprezzare la vita ed i suoi momenti solari, rinnovando la fiducia nella possibilità di essere felici. Genera quindi gioia di vivere contrastando la depressione, rende ottimisti e spinge all'azione.
Direi dunque una pietra adatta a promuovere i migliori propositi per l'anno che verrà!

E a proposito di "anno che verrà", per celebrarlo Trollbeads ha pensato ad un bead particolarmente festoso: "Cascata di Luci" della designer Lise Aagaard.
Il bead a fondo nero, presenta degli "sprazzi" in avventurina dorata, verde e blu che rimandano ai fuochi d'artificio, tipico spettacolo pirotecnico per dare il benvenuto al nuovo anno.

 

L'ultimo bead in argento della collezione è il "Folletto di Babbo Natale" del designer Søren Nielsen, un simpatico folletto che si presenta a gambe e braccia incrociate, con tanto di barba e cappello. Curato nei minimi dettagli, questo bead si presta ad essere protagonista per bracciale o collana.

 

 

Infine, a conclusione di questa collezione natalizia, una novità assoluta in casa Trollbeads: gli "Stop Lettera" del designer Kim Buck. In argento, questi stop riproducono le lettere dell'alfabeto, compreso il logogramma &. Ogni lettera che circonda lo stop è riprodotta con grazie nella versione maiuscola, l'intarsiatura lascia intravedere il gommino nero sottostante. Questo particolare potrebbe risultare poco gradevole ma conferisce sicuramente una miglior lettura della singola lettera o del nome o della parola che si andrà a comporre.
Personalmente trovo l'idea degna di nota, desideravo da tempo un nuovo alfabeto e questo, sotto forma di stop, è perfetto per il bangle.

Nell'insieme la collezione è molto gradevole e versatile, direi che ben si adatti con gli altri beads a catalogo, per una continuità che vada oltre le feste.

Unico neo, a mio parere, è la mancanza di una nuova chiusura a tema.

My review of the new Christmas collection 2019 Trollbeads "My Sun, My Moon, My Stars"


As you know Trollbeads is a company located in Denmark.
Whoever had the opportunity to visit Copenhagen during the Christmas period, refers to a city totally immersed in the festive atmosphere, so rich in decorations and illuminations that it seems like a huge marzipan village.
In the air you can breathe the fragrance of Gløgg, a drink that can resemble our local mulled wine but composed of raisins, almonds, cardamom and orange with a brandy base; cinnamon sweets, vanilla and ginger biscuits complete the harmony of aromas, without forgetting the pine aroma of the houses of the seven Christmas villages and the infamous beers that are produced exclusively for this time of year.
The predominant colors are red, green and gold and the whole is aimed at recreating the typical "hygge" atmosphere that we can translate into "welcoming".

An important tradition for the Danes are the Christmas cards that are sent to friends and relatives and most of these letters carry the Christmas stamp. In fact, in December 1904, Denmark issued the first Christmas stamp in the world; since then other countries have adopted this custom.
Now it is clearer to us why Trollbeads, every year, promotes the "Share a Christmas card": it is a way to carry on a tradition and bring brand enthusiasts from all over the world into contact.

Among the various decorations that can be found in Danish homes, there are the "kravlenisser", small paper sprites.
In ancient times the Danish Christmas was celebrated however in mid-January and in December it was celebrated the "Sol Invictus", that is the not defeated Sun God, invincible star that defeats the darkness, from the gilded red color, is contrasted to the silvery light of the moon. Sun and moon therefore, day and night, always considered two elements of primary importance.

And so the new Trollbeads collection "My Sun, My Moon, My Stars" therefore seems to take inspiration from the past, from the meanings of this festive period, as well as from the colors and designs.

To be able to review the new Christmas collection, I therefore made a foray into jewelry and I confess that, for the first time in several years, I was pervaded by that particular feeling that only Christmas preparations can give.

The "Golden Night Kit" by designers Tenzin Phuntsok & Kalden Chopel, immediately caught my attention: it consists of six glass beads decorated in a decidedly festive way, with warm tones that undoubtedly recall nature, as well as the classic colors of Christmas.

Let's find out individually.

"Golden Swirls" is a bead with a black background with all around and in relief, swirling motifs in golden aventurine with a glitter effect.
A decidedly "tactile" and opulent bead. Being made by hand, the doodles can differ a little between one bead and another.

"Golden Ornaments" has round-shaped, two-colored inclusions in golden and white aventurine that can remind the party cookies with ginger and icing. The bottom is in dark green aventurine oil.
The set is the only smooth bead and, at first glance, less in tune with the other five.

"Hearts of Joy", with a scarlet red background, presents a series of hearts in aventurine gilded with a white outline, in relief. This bead stands out as it is the only one with a bright color. In summary, hearts are well made and outlined, but handmade can give some difference between one bead and another.

"Hearts of Hope" is nothing but the forest green color variant of the previous bead. The bottom of this bead can have lighter shades of green from one bead to another.

"Golden Buds" presents a dark sage green background color with thin horizontal lines in golden aventurine, surmounted by a series of gilded aventurine buds (in the jargon "bud"). An imposing bead depicting the "bubbles of desires" but which can refer to pine cones and shoots. Even here there may be small variations in the size of the "buds" between one bead and another.

Of the six glasses, this is my favorite.

"Golden Branches" in dark blue sky with little silver inclusions, is surmounted by a series of golden aventurine branches in white edged. Dedicated to the Christmas tree, where each branch is decorated and where each tree has its star, he too has a clear reference to nature and traditions, without forgot the snow that falls and rests on the branches. As a rule the branches are quite similar between one bead and another but, as always, we must not forget that they are handmade, therefore subject to differences.

The silvers in the collection are seven of beads, pendants, ring and earrings.

What I consider the "highlight" of the collection is the "Moon and Stars Pendant" by designer Thor Høy, where a large-sized crescent can be inserted into the Silver Necklace (with Pearl, Onyx or other stones at will), aimed at welcoming the pearl and revealing its presence through a star inlay (on each side), inlay combined with an incision, of smaller dimensions, always in the shape of a slightly burnished star, also on each side.
I chose the 60 cm long necklace without any other added bead, I find the simplicity of this combination to be very refined.


The "Moon and Stars" bead is nothing but a reduced version of the pendant, on which there is only the star-shaped inlay (one on each side). The size allows you to partially embrace a Round Stone or a Pearl.

The "Passion Pendant" by designer Ragnar R. Jørgensen is part of a "mini series" and is a silver heart entirely inlaid with swirling motifs reminiscent of the new Start "From the Heart" bracelet. Perfect on the classic Silver Necklace, for the more daring it can also be worn on the bracelet and, thanks to the holes above and below, it can also be slipped into the Fantasy Necklaces.

Also in this case Trollbeads has created a smaller version, the "Passion" bead, with the same inlays as the pendant. The side holes allow the entry for the bracelet and the upper hole can give the opportunity to insert the bead obliquely, using one of the two side holes as a second hole.

This mini-series is completed by the "Passion Earrings" and the "Passion Ring".
The silver heart-shaped earrings, show the exact inlaid motif of the closing of the new "From the Heart" start. Small and light, ideal for those who want something a little flashy and comfortable to wear every day.
The silver ring, with the same heart motif, is also light and has a square shank.


The "My Sun, My Moon, My Stars" collection boasts a new stone and could only be the "Round Sunstone" of the designer Lise Aagaard, with a delicate orange-brown color, its brilliance is given by the presence of small particles of hematite.
This stone, in crystal therapy, allows you to appreciate life and its solar moments, renewing confidence in the possibility of being happy. It therefore generates zest for life by counteracting depression, makes it optimistic and pushes for action.
I would therefore say a stone suitable for promoting the best intentions for the coming year.

And speaking of "coming year", to celebrate it Trollbeads thought of a particularly festive bead: "Happy New Year".
The bead with a black background, presents some "splashes" in golden, green and blue aventurine that recall fireworks, a typical fireworks show to welcome the new year.

 

The last bead in silver of the collection is the "Spirit of Christmas" by the designer Søren Nielsen, a nice elf that presents itself with crossed legs and arms, complete with beard and hat. Attention to detail, this bead lends itself to be the protagonist for a bracelet or necklace.

 

 

Finally, at the end of this Christmas collection, an absolute novelty at Trollbeads: the "Stop Letter" by designer Kim Buck. In silver, these stops reproduce the letters of the alphabet, including the logogram &. Each letter surrounding the stop sign is reproduced with a capital letter, thanks to the marquetry of the black rubber underneath. This detail may not be pleasant but it certainly gives a better reading of the single letter or of the name or word that will be composed.

Personally I find the idea worthy of note, I have long wanted a new alphabet and this, in the form of a stop, is perfect for the bangle.

Overall the collection is very pleasant and I would say that it fits well with the other beads in the catalog, for a continuity that goes beyond the holidays.

The only drawback, in my opinion, is the lack of a new theme closure.
