La mia recensione di "Uccellini Innamorati" Redbalifrog - My review of Love Birds Redbalifrog
Ci sono ricordi d'infanzia che restano impressi nella memoria, come inchiostro indelebile sulle pagine di un diario.
Uno di questi risale agli anni in cui abitavo, insieme ai miei genitori, in un appartamento all'ultimo piano di una palazzina; la finestra della mia camera da letto era rivolta verso il giardino dei vicini ed ogni giorno mi beavo della vista del loro imponente e magnifico salice piangente. Sognavo di nascondermi tra le sue fronde per poi arrampicarmi sui suoi rami più possenti e raggiungere quei passerotti che, ogni tanto, uscivano da quel nido protetto per arrivare sino al davanzale della mia finestra e cibarsi di qualche briciola che lasciavo affinché potessi vederli più da vicino.
Per un certo periodo della mia fanciullezza ero così attratta dagli uccellini che desideravo divenire una di loro.
Cosa sarebbe la nostra vita adulta senza i ricordi d'infanzia? Probabilmente più povera e seriosa o semplicemente meno colorata.
Non pensate che i gioielli componibili vadano a risvegliare il fanciullo che è in noi? La parte più spensierata e giocosa che risiede in ognuno di noi?
Dei gioielli componibili difatti mi piace la loro forza evocativa, soprattutto dei beads in argento, piccole miniature che riproducono il mondo della natura e non solo.
C'è un brand in particolare che credo abbia la prerogativa di riuscire a ricreare con particolare dedizione ed amore il mondo animale e la natura in genere, si tratta di Redbalifrog.
Dietro a questo marchio, nato nel 2007, c'è Amanda Bazarow di Melbourne, in Australia, ma cresciuta a Sydney dove tutt'ora vive.
La passione per la natura la accompagna sin da bambina, ove amava prendersi cura degli animali feriti e raccoglieva rane, tartarughe e scarafaggi, così come le piaceva coltivare fiori in giardino insieme alla madre.
Durante il suo primo viaggio a Bali, da adolescente, si sentì come fosse stata a casa, e fu facile innamorarsi delle persone e del loro stile di vita.
Queste esperienze di viaggio, perché Amanda andò altre volte a Bali, le fecero incontrare, nel 2006, Yande che lavorava come gioielliere in un piccolo negozio. Decise così di fargli realizzare delle perle d'argento maggiormente dettagliate e dal significato spirituale, in quanto all'epoca non si trovava nulla del genere, per un bracciale che le era stato regalato. La sua intenzione era di averne alcune per se stessa e per i suoi amici ma risultarono talmente belle che decise di produrne altre per venderle e ben presto i beads di Redbalifrog divennero conosciuti in tutto il mondo.
Perché il nome "Redbalifrog"?
Nel 2007 Amanda iniziò a vendere i suoi beads attraverso Ebay e da nuova utente le veniva chiesto di immettere un nome per la pagina di vendita, dando come suggerimento di poter utilizzare il nome del proprio colore, paese o animale preferito.
Sicché Amanda decise di utilizzare tutti e tre i nomi insieme Red, Bali, Frog.
Redbalifrog divenne quindi il nome della sua pagina su Ebay e rimase sino a divenire il marchio dei beads da lei prodotti.
Amanda da alcuni anni si avvale della collaborazione del talentuoso figlio Nick, sia per la ideazione dei beads, sia per curare l'aspetto commerciale.
Yande si occupa di scolpire i prototipi in cera ed infine, un team di persone si occupano di modellare e rifinire ogni singolo pezzo in argento.
I beads Redbalifrog hanno incisa la sigla YB che sta per Yande e Bazarow.
Sicuramente ispirata dal suo paese di nascita, l'Australia, e da quello di "adozione", Bali, Amanda pone in ogni sua collezione una attenzione per la natura e le tradizioni delle differenti culture.
Il tema a lei più caro è quello dell'Oceano, avendo sempre vissuto vicino alla spiaggia.
Amanda, persona creativa che ha lavorato anche in ambito televisivo e radiofonico, ha come passione il riciclo; la troppa plastica e gli eccessivi imballaggi sono problemi che il nostro pianeta affronta ogni giorno e, come lei stessa asserisce, ognuno di noi dovrebbe fare la propria parte in questo.
Nella collezione precedente di Redbalifrog "Spread Your Wings" il bead in argento "Uccellini Innamorati", appena visto mi ha riportata a quel ricordo d'infanzia di cui vi narravo.
Uccellini Innamorati vede rappresentati appunto due uccellini affiancati, intenti probabilmente a tubar d'amore, così come suggeriscono i due cuori intrecciati che portano sul petto.
Finemente realizzati nel piumaggio, anche visti da dietro evocano tenerezza e complicità, tutto quello che ognuno di noi, credo, cerchi nel proprio partner.
L'idea di ritrovarsi insieme su di un ramo a veder lo scorrere delle stagioni è molto romantica e trovo questo bead sia adattissimo anche in una composizione natalizia, in quanto l'albero di Natale può ospitarli e vederli partecipi in quella che è l'attesa maggiormente carica di aspettative dell'anno, ove scambiarsi doni e promesse.
Sicuramente la loro, quella di questi due Uccellini Innamorati, sarà di rimanere inseparabili e dare vita ad un nido d'amore.

Il prezzo è di €37 e ritengo questo sia un altro dei punti forti del marchio, produrre beads di qualità a prezzi decisamente concorrenziali rispetto la maggior parte dei brands di componibili.
Ed ora una anticipazione riguardo Redbalifrog!
Nel 2020 uscirà la seconda parte della collezione "Once Upon a Kingdom".
Amanda si dice entusiasta di questa imminente uscita che, in parte, nasce dalla sua passione per le miniature, di cui ha vasta collezione, ossia piccoli oggetti provenienti da tutto il mondo.
La prima release di "Once Upon a Kingdom - A Queen's Wish" fu il 26 aprile scorso, composta da cinque beads: Sword in Stone, Queen Athene, Queens Monogram, Queens Gargoyle Watcher e Owl Messenger Pendant, dedicata alla mitologia ed al mondo fantasy, storie di regni e dinastie.
Sono dunque molto curiosa di vedere con quali beads procederà la collezione.

Il bead ha la giusta dimensione per essere protagonista al centro di un bangle, affiancato magari da un paio di vetri o altro che la fantasia può suggerire.
Il prezzo è di €37 e ritengo questo sia un altro dei punti forti del marchio, produrre beads di qualità a prezzi decisamente concorrenziali rispetto la maggior parte dei brands di componibili.
