La mia recensione di "Acchiappafarfalle" il nuovo bracciale Trollbeads - My review of "Flutter By Bracelet" Trollbeads

Trollbeads, come ogni anno alle porte della primavera, propone un nuovo bracciale "start", ossia un bracciale completo di chiusura e beads.
Per chi si avvicina al mondo Trollbeads ora, o lo ha fatto da poco, il bracciale "start" viene così definito perché dà appunto inizio ad una storia da raccontare attraverso i beads.
Si tratta quindi di una occasione speciale in cui Trollbeads combina un bracciale a coda di volpe in argento, una chiusura in argento, un bead in vetro ed un bead in argento, ad un prezzo vantaggioso.
In questo caso, il bracciale "Acchiappafarfalle" così composto, costa €109 anziché €190.
Sicuramente un notevole risparmio, volto proprio ad invogliare i clienti a dare inizio ad un nuovo gioiello, da comporre man mano e da indossare donandogli il proprio personale significato.
Perché questo fanno i "beads", raccontano una storia, la nostra storia.

Andiamo a scoprire nel dettaglio i componenti.

"Acchiappafarfalle" del designer Trollbeads Design Group, si compone di un bracciale a maglia morbida in argento, detto anche a "coda di volpe", la cui misura sarà possibile scegliere in base alle proprie esigenze; una chiusura in argento che vede una farfalla e tre fiorellini a decoro; un bead in argento che raffigura tre farfalle e due fiori che si susseguono in modo circolare; un bead in vetro dal fondo color pervinca con un motivo ornamentale in superficie in color malva.

La chiusura ha la classica forma "doppia" che consente, da una parte di agganciarsi all'anellina ovalizzata piccola del bracciale (quella attraverso cui si infilano i beads), dall'altra consente di agganciarsi all'anellina tonda grande che serve per allacciare il bracciale al polso.
Leggera e pratica, a moschettone, si apre e si chiude con estrema facilità e in sicurezza, in quanto si avverte che il meccanismo ha una buona tenuta.
Il decoro è creato in modo da donare piacevolezza al tatto senza precluderne la funzionalità.
La farfalla è adagiata ad ali spiegate ed abbraccia la chiusura su due lati, accompagnata da tre piccoli fiorellini di differenti dimensioni, disposti in coppia su di un lato ed uno sotto ad un'ala della farfalla.
Pur nella sua semplicità, la trovo deliziosa.

Il bead in argento ha una dimensione considerevole, rispetto precedenti "start" in cui le ridotte dimensioni lasciavano un poco a desiderare.
Un bead di tutto rispetto quindi che si fa notare attraverso la forma circolare in cui farfalle stlizzate, con ali che sembrano dei piccoli cuori, si susseguono quasi a volersi posare sui due fiorellini anch'essi stilizzati nel disegno di sette petali.
Un bead che riesce a ricreare l'idea di movimento e che, grazie alle sue dimensioni, può tranquillamente fare bella figura anche su di un bangle.

Il bead in vetro, dalla base color pervinca (che io identifico nel Pantone 2717) presenta un disegno a motivo ornamentale che ruota tutto intorno al bead e che posa sullo strato trasparente del vetro, in parte visibile anche dai lati del foro di entrata.
L'ornamento è realizzato in color malva talpa (che io identifico nel Pantone 5135).
Un bead nel suo insieme delicato ed elegante, con chiari rimandi alla primavera ed ai colori di alcune farfalle, che si abbina molto bene con la collezione primaverile uscita lo scorso gennaio.

Altrettanto bene si abbina con colori in netto contrasto, che rimangono i miei prediletti e, proprio a proposito di colori, come ben sapete, i beads in vetro hanno la peculiarità di differire un poco uno dall'altro perché realizzati a mano, differenze che riguardano anche le dimensioni, così come il colore stesso, a seconda della luce che lo illumina, che sia naturale o artificiale (fredda o calda), può variare tonalità, riscontrabile nelle varie fotografie.

Una cosa che ho notato io invece, riguarda il design del bead: rispetto le fotografie ufficiali Trollbeads, il bead in realtà non presenta nell'ornamento quei "puntini" di colore differente (vi allego una immagine dove, affinché possiate capire meglio, ho riquadrato i "puntini").

Questo per dirvi che spesso, dalle fotografie ufficiali al prodotto in negozio, possono esserci notevoli differenze, per i motivi più disparati. Solamente una fotografia scattata al prodotto attualmente in vendita, può ritenersi maggiormente esaustiva.

Il significato che Trollbeads ha donato a questo bracciale "Un acchiappafarfalle per i sentimenti che non vuoi far volare via" è molto poetico ma, il modo dire italiano "acchiappare farfalle" significa esser vaghi e inconcludenti o perdere tempo in cose inutili e, di poetico, in questo c'è veramente a poco, a parer mio. Perciò il mio consiglio è sempre quello di personalizzare il significato a seconda del proprio progetto, a seconda della "storia" che si vuole raccontare attraverso un bracciale componibile.
Personalmente, il significato che gli attribuisco è quello di rammentarmi che la farfalla, per divenire tale, ha subìto una trasformazione, come scriveva la poetessa Alda Merini:

"E se diventi una farfalla
nessuno pensa più a ciò che è stato
quando strisciavi per terra
e non volevi le ali"

Trasformazione che può non riguardare puramente il lato esteriore ma essere riferita ad un mutamento interiore e più intimo.
Un "acchiappare" quindi quello che vorremmo essere.

Rimanendo in tema di "farfalle", c'è un libro che vorrei segnalarvi per profondità di contenuti: "Lo scafandro e la farfalla".
Si tratta della storia vera di Jean-Dominique Bauby, giornalista e redattore capo della rivista "Elle", che in seguito ad un ictus viene colpito dalla sindrome "del chiavistello" o "locked-in", condizione che gli preclude la possibilità di muoversi e di parlare, da qui il nome che in parte dona il titolo al libro, "scafandro".
Il solo modo che ha per comunicare sono gli occhi.
Una vicenda toccante, di grande forza e resilienza ma anche di sconfitta e dolore.
Da questo libro il regista Julian Schnabel ne ha tratto l'omonimo film, vincendo il Premio per la Miglior Regia al Festival di Cannes del 2007 e due Golden Globe come Miglior Film in Lingua Straniera e Miglior Regia.
Indimenticabile la recitazione di Mathieu Amalric nei panni del protagonista, che gli è valsa la premiazione come Miglior Attore al Premio Etoiles d'Or, al Premio César ed al Premio Lumière.
Il mio consiglio quindi, leggete il libro e guardate il film, se come me amate le storie che fanno riflettere e toccano l'anima, pur nella loro drammaticità.

Trollbeads, like every year at the gates of spring, offers a new "start" bracelet, that is, a bracelet complete with a lock and beads.
For those who are approaching the world of Trollbeads now, or have done so recently, the "start" bracelet is so defined because it starts a story to tell through the beads.
It is therefore a special occasion in which Trollbeads combines a silver foxtail bracelet, a silver lock, a glass bead and a silver bead, at an advantageous price.
In this case, the "Flutter By Bracelet" thus composed, costs € 109 instead of € 190.
Definitely a significant saving, aimed precisely at enticing customers to start a new jewel, to be composed gradually and to be worn giving it its own personal meaning.
Because this is what "beads" do, they tell a story, our story.


Let's find out the components in detail.

"Flutter By Bracelet" by the designer Trollbeads Design Group, is made up of a soft silver bracelet, also called "foxtail", the size of which will be possible to choose according to your needs; a silver lock featuring a butterfly and three small flowers decorated; a silver bead depicting three butterflies and two flowers that follow each other in a circular way; a glass bead with a periwinkle colored background with an ornamental motif on the surface in mauve color.

The lock has the classic "double" shape which allows, on one side to be hooked to the small oval ring of the bracelet (the one through which the beads are inserted), on the other it allows to be hooked to the large round ring that is used to connect the bracelet on the wrist.
Light and practical, with a carabiner, it opens and closes very easily and safely, as it is felt that the mechanism has a good seal.
The decoration is created so as to give pleasantness to the touch without precluding its functionality.
The butterfly sits with spread wings and embraces the closure on two sides, accompanied by three small flowers of different sizes, arranged in pairs on one side and one under a wing of the butterfly.
Despite its simplicity, I find it delicious.

The silver bead has a considerable size, compared to previous "start" in which the small size left a little to be desired.
A respectable bead therefore that stands out through the circular shape in which stylized butterflies, with wings that look like small hearts, follow one another almost as if they want to rest on the two flowers also stylized in the design of seven petals.
A bead that manages to recreate the idea of ​​movement and that, thanks to its size, can easily make a good impression even on a bangle.

The glass bead, with a periwinkle-colored base (which I identify in the Pantone 2717) has an ornamental motif design that rotates all around the bead and which rests on the transparent layer of the glass, partially visible also from the sides of the entrance hole.
The ornament is made in taupe mauve color (which I identify in Pantone 5135).
A bead as a whole delicate and elegant, with clear references to spring and the colors of some butterflies, which goes very well with the spring collection released last January.

Equally well it goes well with colors in stark contrast, which remain my favorites and, just as far as colors are concerned, as you well know, glass beads have the peculiarity of differing a little from each other because they are handmade, differences that concern also the dimensions, as well as the color itself, depending on the light that illuminates it, whether natural or artificial (cold or warm), may vary in shades, found in the various photographs.

One thing I noticed instead, concerns the design of the bead: compared to the official Trollbeads photographs, the bead does not actually present those "dots" of different color in the ornament (I am attaching an image with boxed dot, so that you can understand better).


This is to tell you that often, from the archive photographs, there can be considerable differences, for the most disparate reasons. Only a photograph taken of the product currently on sale can be considered more exhaustive.





The meaning that Trollbeads has given, to Italian customers, to this bracelet "A butterfly catcher for the feelings you don't want to fly away" is very poetic but, the Italian saying "catch butterflies" means to be vague and inconclusive or waste time in useless, and poetic things , in this there is really little, in my opinion. Therefore my advice is always to customize the meaning according to your project, depending on the "story" you want to tell through a modular bracelet.
Personally, the meaning I attribute to it is to remind me that the butterfly, to become such, has undergone a transformation, as the poet Alda Merini wrote:

"And if you become a butterfly
nobody thinks about what has been
when you crawled on the ground
and you didn't want wings "

Transformation that may not concern purely the external side but be referred to an internal and more intimate change.
A "catch" then what we would like to be.

Remaining on the subject of "butterflies", there is a book that I would like to point out for depth of content: "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" (published only in French and Italian).
This is the true story of Jean-Dominique Bauby, journalist and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Elle", who after a stroke is hit by the "bolt" or "locked-in" syndrome, a condition that precludes him from being able to move and to speak, hence the name which partly gives the title to the book, "diving suit".
The only way he can communicate is the eyes.
A touching story, of great strength and resilience but also of defeat and pain.
From this book, director Julian Schnabel drew the film "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly", winning the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007 and two Golden Globes for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Director.
Unforgettable the recitation of Mathieu Amalric as the protagonist, which earned him the award for best actor at the Etoiles d'Or Prize, the César Prize and the Lumière Prize.
My advice then, read the book and watch the film, if like me you love the stories that make you think and touch the soul, even in their drama.
