La mia recensione di "Sorrisi" il bead realizzato da Trollbeads per la Festa del Papà - My review of "Smiles" the bead made by Trollbeads for Father's Day
Tra un mese esatto, il 19 marzo, sarà la Festa del Papà e Trollbeads ha realizzato un bead in argento per celebrare la ricorrenza.
Il bead si chiama "Sorrisi" e riproduce quattro faccine stilizzate, con differenti espressioni ma sempre volte al sorriso, accompagnate da qualche cuoricino in rilievo.
Ricordano molto gli smiles delle emoticons, con un aspetto decisamente naïve.
Già da un po' circolavano in rete fotografie di questo bead ed i commenti per la maggior parte sono stati di scarso apprezzamento.
Anche io non ne ero entusiasta ma, come sempre, mi ero riservata di vederlo dal vivo.
Ora posso affermare che "pensavo peggio".
Il bead, dalla forma tondeggiante, ha una buona consistenza, grande quasi quanto le Pietre Piccole Rotonde, non risulta troppo invadente, adattissimo per i papà (e non solo) che non amano i beads di grandi dimensioni.
Il bead "Sorrisi" del designer Søren Nielsen, a cui Trollbeads ha dato il significato di "Sei nel mio sorriso", io lo paragono agli stati d'animo che si possono provare trascorrendo del tempo di qualità in compagnia del proprio papà.
Certo, un papà attempato magari potrebbe non apprezzare questo bead e preferire il classico dopobarba, a volte però conviene sorprendere e spiazzare con regali decisamente fuori dalle righe e questo bead lo è.
Una profezia? Sono certa che verrà acquistato non soltanto come dono da fare al proprio babbo ;-)

Un appunto? Avrei creato un gadget da allegare al bead, magari un piccolo bloc notes in cui scrivere al proprio papà un augurio o semplicemente fargli un disegnino. La festa della mamma viene sempre parecchio enfatizzata, reclamo pari diritti per la festa del papà ;-)

La Festa del Papà in Italia ricorre il 19 marzo, come nei paesi ad osservanza cattolica, la cui credenza risale alla data in cui morì San Giuseppe. Considerato l'ultimo patriarca ed il primo papà, si iniziò a celebrare la sua figura nel 1479, festa inserita nel calendario romano da Papa Sisto IV.
In altri paesi però origini e tradizioni sono diverse, così come la data.
In Germania ad esempio, la Festa del Papà, chiamata Männertag (giorno degli uomini) cade nel giorno dell'Ascensione, ossia quaranta giorni dopo la Pasqua e pare sia tradizione, fin dall'Ottocento, per gli uomini formare dei gruppi per poi spingere un carro carico di bevande alcoliche, festeggiando in modo allegro e un poco alticcio.
Negli Stati Uniti invece, le cui origini sono più recenti, si celebra la terza domenica di giugno ed è stata proclamata festa nazionale dal presidente Johnson nel 1966.
Pare però sia da attribuirne la tradizione ad una donna, Sonora Smart Dodd, che nel 1909 ascoltando un sermone in occasione della festa della mamma, pensò anche i papà dovessero essere celebrati. Fu così che la prima festa del papà si celebrò negli Stati Uniti il 19 giugno 1910, il mese di nascita del padre di Sonora Smart Dodd, che aveva cresciuto da solo i suoi sei figli dopo la morte per parto della moglie.

C'è un libro particolare a cui sono affezionata: "Il Casello della Buonanotte" di Beatrice Masini ed Emanuela Bussolati.
In questo libro c'è un papà che fa il camionista e c'è il suo bambino.
Il bambino sente tanto la mancanza del papà che, facendo il camionista, spesso è in viaggio ma anche quando è a casa se lo gode poco perché il papà deve riposare. L'unico momento in cui riescono a stare insieme è la sera, poco prima che il bambino vada a dormire.
Così si inventa che l'autostrada sia la notte e che per entrarvi e dormire serve che il papà gli racconti una storia, proprio come per uscire dall'autostrada occorre dare i soldi al casellante.
Il papà accetta ma teme di non essere in grado di soddisfare il suo bambino e così gli dice - Va bene se racconto anche delle storie da camionista? Con dentro le cose che vedo quando vado in giro?
- Puoi raccontare le storie che vuoi, - dice il bambino. - Da camionista o da fermo. Come ti viene meglio.
E si stringono la mano, perché hanno fatto un patto. Il viaggio di storie può cominciare.
Dopo un mese di storie il papà è riuscito a mettere insieme "le storie del casello", per viaggiare bene dentro la notte, momento in cui quasi tutti i bambini si sentono soli ed hanno paura del buio. Ma il finale riserva anche un altro motivo, che vi lascerò scoprire se vorrete leggere questo libro, adatto per grandi e piccini, con cui sono certa vi emozionerete.
Il bead "Sorrisi" costa €45,00 e sarà disponibile dal 21 febbraio, entrando a far parte della collezione a catalogo.

My review of "Smiles" the bead made by Trollbeads for Father's Day.
In exactly one month, March 19th, it will be Father's Day and Trollbeads has created a silver bead to celebrate the anniversary.
The bead is called "Smiles" and reproduces four stylized smileys, with different expressions but always aimed at smiles, accompanied by some little hearts in relief.
They are very reminiscent of the emoticons' smiles, with a decidedly naive appearance.
For some time now, photographs of this bead have been circulating on the net and the comments for the most part have been of little appreciation.
I was also not enthusiastic about it but, as always, I reserved myself to see it live.
Now I can say that "I thought worse".
The bead, with a rounded shape, has a good consistency, almost as big as the Small Round Stones, it is not too intrusive, very suitable for dads (and not only) who do not like large beads.
The "Smiles Bead" designed by Søren Nielsen, asks a question: "Who brings a smile to your face?".
I reply that I compare it to the moods that can be experienced by spending quality time in the company of your dad.
Of course, an elderly dad might not appreciate this bead and prefer the classic aftershave, but sometimes it is better to surprise and displace with gifts definitely out of the lines and this bead is.
A prophecy? I am sure it will be purchased not only as a gift for your dad ;-)

A note? I would have created a gadget to attach to the bead, maybe a small notepad in which to write a wish to your dad or just make him a sketch. Mother's Day is always very emphasized, equal rights claim for Father's Day ;-)

The child misses his dad so much that, being a truck driver, he is often on the road but also when he is at home he enjoys it little because the dad has to rest. The only time they manage to be together is in the evening, just before the baby goes to sleep.
So it is invented that the highway is at night and that in order to get enter and sleep it is necessary for Dad to tell him a story, just as to get out of the highway you have to give the toll holder money.
Dad accepts but fears that he will not be able to satisfy his child and so he says - Is it okay if I also tell truck driver stories? With inside the things I see when I go around?
- You can tell the stories you want, - says the boy. - As a truck driver or stationary. How it gets better.
And they shake hands, because they made a deal. The journey of stories can begin.
After a month of stories, dad managed to put together "the toll booth stories", to travel well into the night, when almost all children feel alone and afraid of the dark. But the ending also has another reason, which I will let you discover if you want to read this book, suitable for young and old, with which I am sure you will be thrilled.
The "Smiles" bead costs €45,00 and will be available from February 21, becoming part of the collection in the catalog.
