"Pedro e Speedy" è un bead esclusivo realizzato da Aurora Charm per Pianeta Beads che raffigura un folletto ed una lumaca.
Quando ero bambina avevo una grande passione per le lumache.
Ero così attratta dal loro incedere lento, da quella scia luccicante che lasciavano al loro passaggio, quasi fossero state in cielo a prendere un poco di polvere di stelle.
Rammento che molte delle mie amiche ne provavano quasi ribrezzo.
Io invece non avevo difficoltà a prenderle in mano, a lasciarmi lambire il palmo dal loro freddo ed umido corpo.
Tutto mi incantava, le loro antenne, il loro guscio. Ero capace di osservarle per ore fantasticando su cosa desiderassero e pensassero e un poco le invidiavo per la facilità con cui potevano ritirarsi, avrei desiderato, in certe occasioni, non farmi trovare e restare nascosta nel mio piccolo mondo, proprio come le lumache.

Un giorno però la mia preferita, Lulù, fu accidentalmente calpestata da un ignaro e distratto signore ed io, in lacrime, gli urlai il mio dolore e quelle che lui credette essere parole consolatorie, "non piangere, era solo una lumaca, ne troverai altre", in realtà per me furono come la avesse calpestata una seconda volta, insieme ai miei sentimenti.

Per alcuni giorni andai a trovarla in preghiera, fino a che il dolore si fece meno doloroso e Lulù un indelebile e caro ricordo.

E per restare in tema di lumache, Simona Mulazzani ha illustrato anche il libro "Storia di una lumaca che scoprì l'importanza della lentezza", favola scritta dal grande Luis Sepúlveda, purtroppo recentemente scomparso.
Una favola che, in qualche modo, ha dato voce al mio pensiero ed ai miei ricordi di bambina, quella di questa lumaca che desidera un nome e vedere il mondo al di fuori dei suoi spazi.
Forma letteraria prediletta dallo scrittore, la favola, come lui stesso dichiarava in una intervista, ci aiuta a comprendere meglio e vedere in prospettiva la natura umana ed i suoi comportamenti.
Non potrei essere più d'accordo!
