Oggi è la Festa della Donna e Trollbeads ha scelto questa data per presentare il suo nuovo bead "Meraviglia".

Meraviglia, della designer Lise Aagaard, è un bead in vetro sfaccettato con sfondo nero e motivi grafici ovalizzati e concentrici in color beige e nocciola. Lo strato di vetro che "racchiude" il bead è trasparente, impreziosito da una sfaccettatura romboidale.

Come sempre accade con i beads in vetro, a seconda della luce da cui vengono colpiti, che sia artificiale calda o fredda o naturale, cambia un poco il colore.

In linea di massima i beads sono abbastanza simili uno rispetto all'altro, differenze si possono riscontrare nelle dimensioni, alcuni sono leggermente più piccoli ma sono differenze davvero minime.

Il design di questo bead è esattamente come i precedenti "Auguri!", uscito in Italia nel 2020, e il bead del Trollbeads Club italiano 2019. Differisce soltanto nei colori dei motivi grafici, poiché la base è sempre nera.

Meraviglia, dei tre, è quello più neutrale e, forse, maggiormente versatile come abbinamenti colore.

Vi confesso che è andato piacevolmente oltre le mie aspettative, pur prediligendo le precedenti versioni.

All'estero questo bead porta il nome di "Happy Birtday" e non viene venduto ma omaggiato a chi festeggia il proprio compleanno presso un rivenditore Trollbeads.

In Italia invece Meraviglia si può acquistare presso i rivenditori Premium Plus e Flagship Store, e costa €55. Il bead è in Edizione Limitata, perciò disponibile sino ad esaurimento scorte.

Sulla storia e sulle origini della Festa della Donna, ci sono diverse interpretazioni ma di preciso si sa che prima nazione a celebrarla furono gli Stati Uniti d'America nel 1908 dopo una richiesta, avvenuta l'anno precedente, da parte del Congresso Internazionale Socialista a cui parteciparono, tra le altre, Clara Zetkin e Rosa Luxemburg, in cui veniva domandato che le donne avessero diritto di voto.

Una serie di battaglie in favore delle donne, sottolineando l'importanza del loro ruolo all'interno della società, hanno visto ufficializzare questa ricorrenza nel 1975 dall'ONU, che ha riconosciuto la Giornata Internazionale delle Donne in data 8 marzo.

Ogni anno questa giornata ha un tema specifico e quest'anno il tema è "Le donne in un mondo del lavoro in evoluzione: verso un pianeta 50-50 nel 2030".

Cosa vuole significare?

Questo tema punta a focalizzarsi sull'uguaglianza di genere e sul potenziamento delle donne e delle ragazze, insieme ad un accesso globale a formazione di qualità e apprendimento continuo.

Tutto questo significa non lasciar nessuna indietro, abbattere il divario che esiste ancora oggi tra donne e uomini sia in campo lavorativo che retributivo, abbattere ogni stereotipo legato al ruolo che dovrebbe ricoprire una donna all'interno della società.

Insomma, sta per avere inizio un vero e proprio conto alla rovescia in cui le donne debbono raggiungere il famigerato "fifty fifty".

Può sembrare assurdo eppure ancora oggi, nel 2021, ci sono donne che vengono discriminate, bambine a cui è negato l'accesso allo studio, ci sono paesi in cui la donna ha pochi o nulli diritti e questo fa male sentirlo dire, quasi non lo si accetta eppure la crescente violenza di genere ne è una brutale conferma e non si può pensare di fingere che non esista, è indispensabile battersi affinché le future generazioni apprendano che uomini e donne debbano avere uguali diritti, è indispensabile battersi affinché le donne non vengano sacrificate in nome di qualcosa che era tutto fuorché amore.

Come per San Valentino, anche per la festa della donna c'è sempre chi si divide tra "è una festa consumistica" e "è una festa che va onorata".

Io propendo per la seconda, sempre. Certo lo sappiamo, l'amore così come le donne non vanno ricordate solamente il 14 febbraio e l'8 marzo, bensì tutto l'anno, ma anche questo è un luogo comune che lascia il tempo che trova, credo invece vada intesa questa celebrazione come un momento di riflessione, un momento per fare il punto della situazione e vedere come, da un anno all'altro, le cose sono cambiate, gli sviluppi che sono avvenuti.

C'è ancora tanta strada da fare per i diritti di noi donne ma celebriamo oggi le conquiste e onoriamo la memoria di chi, prima di noi, a suo modo, si è battuta affinché tutte potessimo goderne.

Mi piace quindi ricordare Sylvia Plath, poetessa tormentata che ha lasciato in eredità l'andare oltre il proprio io, con una profonda coscienza di sé, il riuscire a raccontare la quotidianità, quasi un monito a non arrendersi ad un unico ruolo, rendendo consapevoli, attraverso i suoi versi, generazioni di donne.

Di seguito una delle sue poesie che più mi ha colpita che, in qualche modo, con sottile ed affilata ironia, condanna lo stereotipo di genere e tutto ciò che la società si attende da una donna.

L'ho scelta e la dedico a tutte voi donne che mi leggete.

"L'aspirante"

Trollbeads Meraviglia! The new bead dedicated to Women's Day



Today is Women's Day and Trollbeads has chosen this date to present their new "Meraviglia" bead.
Meraviglia, by designer Lise Aagaard, is a faceted glass bead with a black background and oval and concentric graphic motifs in beige and hazelnut. The glass layer that "encloses" the bead is transparent, embellished with a rhomboid facet.

Meraviglia, of the three, is the most neutral and, perhaps, the most versatile in terms of color combinations.
I confess that it went pleasantly beyond my expectations, while preferring the previous versions.

On the history and origins of Women's Day, there are different interpretations but it is precisely known that the first nation to celebrate it was the United States of America in 1908 after a request, which took place the previous year, by the International Socialist Congress to which was attended, among others, by Clara Zetkin and Rosa Luxemburg, in which it was asked that women have the right to vote.
A series of battles in favor of women, underlining the importance of their role in society, saw this anniversary formalized in 1975 by the UN, which recognized International Women's Day on 8 March. What does it mean?

All this means leaving no one behind, breaking down the gap that still exists today between women and men both in the employment and pay field, breaking down any stereotype linked to the role that a woman should play in society.
In short, a real countdown is about to begin in which women must reach the infamous "fifty fifty".
It may seem absurd and yet even today, in 2021, there are women who are discriminated against, girls who are denied access to education, there are countries where women have few or no rights and this hurts to hear it, almost not. it is accepted and yet the growing gender violence is a brutal confirmation of this and one cannot think of pretending that it does not exist, it is essential to fight so that future generations learn that men and women must have equal rights, it is essential to fight so that women are not sacrificed in the name of something that was anything but love.

As for Valentine's Day, even for Women's Day there are always those who are divided between "it is a consumerist party" and "it is a party that must be honored".
I tend to go for the latter, always. Of course we know, love as well as women should not be remembered only on February 14 and March 8, but all year round, but this is also a cliché that leaves the time it finds, I believe instead this celebration should be understood as a moment of reflection, a moment to take stock of the situation and see how, from one year to the next, things have changed, the developments that have taken place.
There is still a long way to go for the rights of us women but today we celebrate the conquests and we honor the memory of those who, before us, in their own way, fought so that we could all enjoy them.

I therefore like to remember Sylvia Plath, a tormented poetess who left a legacy to go beyond her own self, with a deep self-awareness, to be able to tell everyday life, almost a warning not to surrender to a single role, making one aware, through his verses, generations of women.
Below is one of his poems that most struck me which, in some way, with subtle and sharp irony, condemns the gender stereotype and all that society expects from a woman.
I chose it and I dedicate it to all you women who read me.
