Trollbeads Tesoro del Mare collezione estate 2021 - Trollbeads Sunshine Vibes summer 2021 collection

Quest'anno la collezione estiva Trollbeads si è fatta attendere per cause di forze maggiori, la pandemia che ci ha colpiti a livello internazionale, negli ultimi mesi ha visto l'India in gravi difficoltà, così la produzione del set di vetri dei designers Tenzin Phuntsok and Kalden Chophel in Edizione Limitata, ha subito un ritardo che, alla fine, è servito ad amplificare la curiosità per questo set così caratterizzante.

Tesoro del Mare,  il nome dato alla collezione estate 2021, si compone difatti di sei beads in vetro, una chiusura in argento, un bead in argento ed un pendente in argento e vetro.

Andiamo a scoprirli uno ad uno, partendo proprio dal set di beads in vetro in Edizione Limitata dei designers Tenzin Phuntsok and Kalden Chophel.

Salmone Coraggioso raffigura l'omonimo pesce in due esemplari che si rincorrono intorno al bead, di colore azzurro variegato volto a riprodurre le scaglie argentee con la tipica puntinatura, come fossero lentiggini a contrasto sul dorso, e la pancia bianca. I due pesci sono sulla superficie di copertura trasparente del bead; l'interno, volto a riprodurre il fondale, è in color acquamarina con sottili venature a contrasto.

Corallo Prezioso vede riprodotte all'interno del bead cinque murrine a forma circolare traforate, a ricordare il corallo bianco. La base su cui si posano è blu elettrico trasparente con variegature in beige.

Polpo Creativo raffigura l'omonimo mollusco, di colore arancione, dagli occhi sporgenti ed i lunghi tentacoli. Gli esemplari che girano intorno al bead, riprodotti sulla copertura trasparente, sono due. La base beige striata ricorda fondali sabbiosi.

Meduse Danzanti dal fondale turchese trasparente, vede riprodotte al suo interno quattro meduse in colore avorio lattiginoso con sfumature rosate, dove i lunghi e filiformi tentacoli sembrano fluttuare nell'acqua.

Conchiglie Marine la cui base è in colore verde oliva con striature più chiare e piccoli punti variegati in verde chiaro e nero, il cui effetto ottico è anch'esso quello di un fondale sabbioso, racchiude al suo interno quattro conchiglie bianche la cui forma riconduce alle classiche conchiglie rigate come le Scapharca inaequivalvis dette Scrigno di Venere. Il vetro di copertura trasparente presenta una sfumatura azzurra tutt'intorno a ricreare i riflessi dell'acqua.

Stella di Mare vede riprodotte sulla copertura trasparente del bead, tre stelle a cinque braccia in colore giallo senape, le cui protuberanze sono in rilievo ed in beige variegato, rendendo il beat tattile. Il fondale è di colore nero con tocchi in colore verde. Visto in profilo, il bead presenta forma triangolare, e non classicamente rotonda, probabilmente le fattezze sono date dalla lavorazione delle tre stelle marine in superficie.

I beads hanno un costo di €45 cadauno e sono in Edizione Limitata.

 

Passiamo ora agli argenti.

La chiusura Respiro del Mare del designer Søren Nielsen, con i classici due moschettoni contrapposti, ha riportate a decoro alghe piatte con piccoli punti a rilievo, su entrambi i lati. Il moschettone che serve per aprire e chiudere il bracciale, presenta il gancio sulla parte superiore tra le due sporgenze delle alghe, questo ne rende difficoltosa la apertura. Ho segnato con una freccia il punto esatto per evidenziare quella che io reputo una criticità di questa chiusura, molto bella ma poco pratica.

Il costo è di €65.

Il bead Respiro del Mare del designer Søren Nielsen, riproduce le medesime alghe della chiusura, qui in forma a ventaglio.

Il costo è di €55.

Ultimo ma non per importanza, il pendente Castello di Sabbia della designer Louise Rimpler, composto da un castello in argento in sommità e da una sfera in vetro sottostante. Il castello, nella parte posteriore, presenta un piccolo moschettone che permette di essere agganciato all'anellina posta nella Collana Fantasia Intercambiabile. La sfera di vetro ha base in avventurina ramata, sormontata da striature variegate in arancio chiaro e bianco a spirale volte a ricreare la sabbia.

Il costo è di €95.

Di tutta la collezione il Castello di Sabbia è senza dubbio quello che si può definire il "pezzo forte", estremamente evocativo, la cui irregolarità della parte in argento riconduce senz'altro a tutti quei castelli che la maggior parte di noi ha costruito in riva al mare.

La sfera, che nelle immagini istituzionali vedeva prevalere le striature dall'aspetto maggiormente sfumato e chiaro, in realtà si presenta più scura e alcuni esemplari hanno una tonalità di colore più sgargiante che trovo si amalgami meno con la base avventurina. 

Questo dettaglio, nonostante la bellezza del castello, può diventare motivo di rinuncia d'acquisto, in quanto non rispecchia le aspettative, almeno non le mie e, considerando il prezzo elevato, il bead deve piacere e convincere nella sua totalità. Suggerisco quindi di valutare ogni singolo esemplare, se siete intenzionati a prenderlo, per trovare quello che fa al caso vostro, poiché, come sapete, essendo fatti a mano le differenze sono date da questa caratteristica. 

La chiusura è senz'altro imponente e dona personalità ad un bracciale o ad una collana ma può risultare scomoda causa le sporgenze delle alghe, come ho descritto sopra.

Il bead in argento di dimensioni medio/grandi, si presta ad essere posizionato al centro di una composizione o anche doppio, per chi ama le simmetrie.

Il set di beads in vetro ha i classici colori a tema mare e tra loro creano una bella armonia, l'unico che risalta per contrasto è il Polpo Creativo che con il suo colore arancione spicca su tutti.

Il mio preferito in assoluto è Stella di Mare, poiché amo i beads con rilievi, seguito da Salmone Coraggioso. 

Come dimensioni, tra gli esemplari da me visionati, sono medio piccole, a parte Corallo Prezioso che risulta essere un poco più grande rispetto gli altri, un poco più "cicciotto" e Polpo Creativo che al contrario risulta essere più sottile.

Meduse Danzanti ricorda un bead Unico che è divenuto una rarità in quanto essendo unico non ne vengono riprodotti altri uguali, dopo una iniziale produzione. Qui potete vedere le differenze. Trovo siano entrambi molto belli, Meduse Danzanti ancor più dettagliato.

Hanno comunque tutti un loro carattere che abbinati ad altri beads in collezione possono dare vita ad una piacevole armonia, così come possono integrarsi con altri beads a tema marino.

Questo set ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative e credo possa valere la pena acquistarlo per intero.

Nell'insieme Tesoro del Mare reputo sia una collezione di forte carattere che si pone senza mezze misure: piace o non piace.

Io la promuovo senz'altro.

Tra i detrattori immagino tutte quelle persone che non associano per forza l'estate al mare, ma alla montagna, a città d'arte o altri luoghi.

Effettivamente ci vorrebbe un poco più di attenzione da parte di Trollbeads e magari provare a proporre una collezione estiva che possa racchiudere l'idea di estate e vacanza a 360 gradi.

Come avrete sicuramente notato, alcune fotografie le ho scattate con l'ausilio di illustrazioni.

Sono illustrazioni tratte da un piccolo libro che posseggo da tanti anni: "Biologia Marina" di Menico Torchio con illustrazioni di Gabriele Pozzi.

Fa parte di una collana intitolata "I miracoli della natura", edita da Giunti - Aldo Martello Editore, che parte dai coleotteri, passando per le pietre preziose, la flora, la geologia e arriva alla paleontologia.

Questa collana venne omaggiata, un libro alla volta, da una banca del mio paese ai correntisti, non ricordo in quale occasione, ricordo però che mio padre fu tra quelli che la ricevettero e che me la regalò con mia grande gioia. Attendevo trepidante l'arrivo del libro successivo, curiosa anzitutto di scoprirne le illustrazioni e di leggere il testo per imparare cose nuove.

L'ho custodita gelosamente questa collezione e, a parte il naturale ingiallimento della carta, sembra nuova, sin da bambina ho avuto cura maniacale dei libri, mista a riverenza, che ancora oggi pratico. Solamente i libri di scuola erano passibili di sottolineature o appunti, a matita, ma quelli avevano uno scopo ed una valenza differenti ai miei occhi.

Riguardo al libro "Biologia Marina", mi impressionava la illustrazione delle meduse, così affascinanti sulla carta e così paurose nella realtà, non tanto per il loro aspetto quanto per il loro veleno, arma di difesa che ebbi sfortunatamente modo di provare sulla mia pelle e di cui conservo ricordo del forte bruciore e spavento. Leggere che alcuni esemplari possono raggiungere i due metri di diametro con tentacoli lunghi fino a 30 metri, all'epoca produsse in me una inquietudine che mi assaliva ogni volta che mi accingevo ad entrare in mare, timorosa di incontrare la possente medusa. Per fortuna, continuando a leggere, compresi che non era un esemplare presente nel mare Adriatico, quindi ne fui tranquillizzata ma sempre circospetta.

Allo stesso modo ero impressionata dal polpo, con i suoi lunghi tentacoli pieni di ventose e quegli occhi sporgenti su di una testa abnorme. Leggendo che facilmente si trova a poca profondità o a fior d'acqua e che ama adagiarsi tra le scogliere e tra i sassi che risiedono naturalmente alla base, con sandali di gomma ai piedi, per paura di scivolare, affrontavo temeraria gli scogli con la ingenua speranza di avvistare un polpo, ben presto però capii che per farlo avrei dovuto effettuare una immersione e quella era una cosa che non mi allettava per niente, così mi limitai a sognare di incontrarlo durante una delle mie nuotatine.

Il mare, da sempre, ha su di me un grande fascino, gli ho confidato segreti, versato lacrime ed espresso desideri al suo cospetto, così come ne ho timore, poiché come sa essere accogliente, allo stesso modo può essere spietato.

Confesso che l'idea di indossare un bracciale che rappresenti il mare, mi è d'aiuto quando so che non posso raggiungerlo.

Anche a voi succede questa cosa? Dopotutto i beads sono creati con questo scopo, evocare ricordi, provocare emozioni, componendo il proprio piccolo mondo, anche interiore.

Eh sì, oggi mi sento nostalgica e ripenso al mio primissimo bracciale, composto nel 2008 e che, guarda caso, il tema era proprio il mare, anche se i vetri non ne riportavano i colori ma una variante in bianco e nero. Magari uno di questi giorni ve lo mostrerò.

Spesso noi appassionati e collezionisti Trollbeads, lamentiamo la mancanza in Italia di gadget, guardando con occhi sognanti oltreoceano, ultimamente però sembra che qualcosa sia accaduto e, ad esempio, questa collezione vede l'uscita di una bella ed utile pochette, che può contenere anche uno smartphone di grandi dimensioni, in tre varianti colore: turchese, arancione e giallo.

Trollbeads Sunshine Vibes summer 2021 collection


This year the Trollbeads summer collection has been delayed due to force majeure, the pandemic that has hit us internationally, in recent months has seen India in serious difficulty, so the production of the glass set by designers Tenzin Phuntsok and Kalden Chophel in Limited Edition, suffered a delay which, in the end, served to amplify the curiosity for this distinctive set.

Sunshine Vibes, the name given to the summer 2021 collection, is made up of six glass beads, a silver lock, a silver bead and a silver and glass pendant.

Let's go and discover them one by one, starting from the set of glass beads in Limited Edition by designers Tenzin Phuntsok and Kalden Chophel.

Savvy Salmon Bead depicts the fish of the same name in two specimens chasing each other around the bead, of a variegated blue color aimed at reproducing the silvery scales with the typical dots, as if they were contrasting freckles on the back, and the white belly. The two fish are on the transparent cover surface of the bead; the interior, aimed at reproducing the backdrop, is in aquamarine color with subtle contrasting veins.






Coveted Corals Bead has five circular perforated murrines reproduced inside the bead, reminiscent of white coral. The base on which they rest is transparent electric blue with beige variegations.

Oozing Octopus Bead depicts the mollusk of the same name, orange in color, with protruding eyes and long tentacles. The specimens that go around the bead, reproduced on the transparent cover, are two. The striped beige base recalls sandy bottoms.






Jolly Jellyfish Bead with a transparent turquoise bottom, it sees reproduced inside four jellyfish in a milky ivory color with pink hues, where the long and threadlike tentacles seem to float in the water.






Curious Clams Bead whose base is in olive green color with lighter streaks and small variegated points in light green and black, whose optical effect is that of a sandy bottom, has inside four white shells whose shape leads back to the classic striped shells such as the inaequivalvis Scapharca called Scrigno di Venere. The transparent cover glass has a blue tint all around to recreate the reflections of the water.

Steady Starfish Bead sees reproduced on the transparent cover of the bead, three five-armed stars in mustard yellow, whose protuberances are in relief and in variegated beige, making the beat tactile. The backdrop is black with touches of green. Seen in profile, the bead has a triangular shape, and not a classically round one, probably due to the processing of the three starfish on the surface.


The beads cost €45 each and are a Limited Edition.

Let's now move on to silver.

The Seaweed Lock by designer Søren Nielsen, with the classic two opposing carabiners, has flat seaweed with small raised dots on both sides. The carabiner that is used to open and close the bracelet, has the hook on the top between the two protrusions of the algae, this makes it difficult to open. I marked the exact point with an arrow to highlight what I consider a criticality of this closure, very beautiful but not very practical.
The cost is €65.

The Seaweed Bead by designer Søren Nielsen, reproduces the same seaweed as the lock, here in a fan shape.
The cost is €55.






Last but not least, the Sandcastle Pendant by designer Louise Rimpler, consisting of a silver castle on top and a glass sphere below. The castle in the back has a small carabiner that allows it to be attached to the ring present in the Changeable Fantasy Necklace. The glass sphere has a copper aventurine base surmounted by variegated streaks in light orange and white in a spiral aimed at recreating the sand.
The cost is €95.

Of the entire collection, the Sandcastle Pendant is undoubtedly what can be defined as the "highlight", extremely evocative, the irregularity of the silver part undoubtedly leads to all those castles that most of us have built on the shore at the sea.
The sphere, which in the institutional images saw the streaks with a more nuanced and clear aspect prevail, actually appears darker and some specimens have a more gaudy color tone that I find blends less with the aventurine base. This detail, despite the beauty of the castle, can become a reason for renunciation of purchase, as it does not reflect expectations, at least not mine and, considering the high price, the bead must please and convince in its entirety. I therefore suggest that you evaluate every single piece, if you are willing to take it, to find the one that is right for you, since, as you know, being handmade, the differences are given by this peculiarity.

The lock is certainly impressive and gives personality to a bracelet or necklace but it can be uncomfortable due to the protrusions of the algae.

The medium-sized silver bead lends itself to being positioned in the center of a composition, even double, for those who love symmetries.





The set of glass beads has the classic sea-themed colors and creates a beautiful harmony between them, the only one that stands out by contrast is the Oozing Octopus Bead which stands out above all with its orange color.
My absolute favorite is Steady Starfish Bead, as I love embossed beads, followed by Savvy Salmon Bead.
In terms of size, among the specimens I have seen, they are medium-small, apart from Coveted Corals Bead which is a little larger than the others, a little more "chubby" and Oozing Octopus Bead which, on the contrary, is thinner.

Jolly Jellyfish Bead recalls a Unique bead which has become a rarity as being unique, no other identical ones are reproduced after an initial production. Here you can see the differences. I find both very beautiful, Jolly Jellyfish Bead even more detailed.

However, they all have their own character that combined with other beads in the collection can give life to a pleasant harmony, as well as they can integrate with other marine-themed beads.
This set met my expectations and I believe it may be worth buying in full.

Taken as a whole, Sunshine Vibes is a collection of strong character that arises without half measures: like it or not.
I definitely promote it.


Among the detractors I imagine all those people who do not necessarily associate summer with the sea, but with the mountains, cities of art or other places.
Actually it would take a little more attention from Trollbeads and maybe try to propose a summer collection that can encompass the idea of summer and vacation at 360 degrees.

As you have surely noticed, I took some photographs with the help of illustrations.
They are illustrations taken from a small book that I have owned for many years: "Biologia Marina" by Menico Torchio with illustrations by Gabriele Pozzi.
It is part of a series entitled "I miracoli della natura", published by Giunti-Aldo Martello Editore, which starts with beetles, passing through precious stones, flora, geology and reaches paleontology.
This series was honored, one book at a time, by a bank in my country to the account holders, I don't remember on what occasion, but I remember that my father was among those who received it and that he gave it to me with great joy. I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next book, curious above all to discover its illustrations and to read the text to learn new things.
I have jealously guarded this collection and, apart from the natural yellowing of the paper, it looks new, since I was a child I have been obsessed with books, mixed with reverence, which I still practice today. Only the school books were subject to underlining or notes, in pencil, but those had a different purpose and value in my eyes.
Regarding the book "Biologia Marina", I was struck by the illustration of jellyfish, so fascinating on paper and so fearful in reality, not so much for their appearance as for their poison, a defense weapon, which unfortunately I had the opportunity to try on my skin and of which I remember the strong burning and fright. Reading that some specimens can reach two meters in diameter with tentacles up to 30 meters long, at the time produced in me a restlessness that assailed me every time I was about to enter the sea, afraid of meeting the mighty jellyfish. Fortunately, continuing to read, I realized that it was not a specimen present in the Adriatic Sea, so I was reassured but always circumspect.
Likewise, I was impressed by the octopus, with its long sucker-filled tentacles and those bulging eyes on an abnormal head. Reading that it is easily found at a shallow depth or at the surface of the water and that it loves to lie down among the cliffs and among the stones that naturally reside at the base, with rubber sandals on, for fear of slipping, I daredly faced the rocks with naive hope to spot an octopus, but soon I realized that to do it I would have to dive and that was something that did not appeal to me at all, so I limited myself to dreaming of meeting him during one of my swims.

The sea has always had a great charm on me, I have confided secrets to it, shed tears and expressed wishes in its presence, just as I am afraid of it, because as it knows how to be welcoming, in the same way it can be ruthless.
I confess that the idea of wearing a bracelet that represents the sea helps me when I know I can't reach it.
Does this happen to you too? After all, the beads are created with this purpose, to evoke memories, to provoke emotions, composing their own little world, even the inner one.
Oh yes, today I feel nostalgic and I think back to my very first bracelet, composed in 2008 and which, coincidentally, the theme was the sea, even if the glasses did not show the colors but a variant in black and white. Maybe one of these days I'll show you.
