Il 15 ottobre Trollbeads presenta ufficialmente il nuovo bracciale start, dedicato alla stagione autunnale, Gioia di Vivere, dei designer Trollbeads Designer Group.

Per chi è nuovo al mondo Trollbeads, il bracciale "start" viene così chiamato poiché si compone di quattro elementi basilari per dare avvio a quello che un giorno potrà divenire un bracciale componibile completo.

Gli elementi sono: una chiusura in argento, un bracciale a coda di volpe in argento, un bead in argento ed un bead in vetro.

Così composto, questo è il classico start che da diverso tempo Trollbeads propone solitamente in due occasioni l’anno.

Perché acquistare uno start risulta vantaggioso? Perché il prezzo è promozionale, quindi inferiore rispetto all’acquisto dei singoli componenti. Inoltre, trattandosi di Edizione Limitata, questa tipologia di bracciale offre ai collezionisti la opportunità di possedere qualcosa di esclusivo, che non si potrà trovare riprodotto a catalogo.

Il Bracciale Gioia di Vivere difatti costa €109 anziché €180, ipotizzando che ogni singolo elemento costi €45.

Sicuramente un notevole risparmio, volto proprio ad invogliare a un nuovo inizio, un gioiello da comporre man mano e da indossare donandogli il proprio personale significato, poiché questo fanno i gioielli componibili, raccontano una storia, quella che ognuno di noi intende narrare attraverso i beads.

Andiamo ora a scoprire nel dettaglio i singoli componenti.

La chiusura ha la classica forma "doppia" di moschettoni contrapposti, che consente da una parte di agganciarsi all'anellina ovalizzata piccola del bracciale (quella attraverso cui si infilano i beads), dall'altra di agganciarsi all'anellina tonda grande che serve per allacciare il bracciale al polso.

Pratica, si apre e si chiude con estrema facilità e in sicurezza, in quanto si avverte che il meccanismo ha buona tenuta.

A decoro, su ciascun lato della chiusura, troviamo quattro foglie applicate trilobate di differente misura, con nervature incise, più alcune piccole bacche, posizionate in modo da non precluderne la funzionalità ma di arricchirla.

Il bracciale è a maglia morbida in argento, detto anche a "coda di volpe", la cui misura sarà possibile scegliere in base alle proprie esigenze, tenendo conto che la lunghezza è comprensiva di cm. 2 della chiusura; ad esempio chi ha un polso di cm. 18 acquisterà un bracciale di cm. 18 "virtuali". Perché virtuali? Perché il bracciale in realtà sarà lungo cm.16 a cui si aggiungono i cm. 2 virtuali della chiusura.

Il meccanismo può sembrare un poco contorto per chi è alle prime armi, ma i rivenditori sono più che informati per spiegarvi e consigliarvi al meglio quale misura acquistare. 

Il bead in argento, di dimensioni medio piccole, vede tre foglie trilobate, simili a quelle della chiusura, insieme a cinque bacche. Le tre foglie si uniscono a triangolo formando la apertura per potere introdurre il bracciale. Il foro è ampio e può essere infilato anche un bracciale diverso da Trollbeads, porto ad esempio quello di Ilko Beads e quello di Pandora.

Le nervature delle foglie, rispetto la chiusura, qui sono leggermente incise.

Il bead in vetro presenta una base variegata in toni chiari pastello del beige, del nocciola, del grigio azzurro, del rosato con una velatura di verde chiarissimo e di giallo, in un effetto quasi olografico, che può sottintendere la variazione di colore delle foglie durante l’autunno.

Il vetro di copertura è trasparente e trattiene svariati aghi in colore bordeaux che richiamano le nervature delle foglie.

 

Tutti i beads in vetro hanno la peculiarità di differire uno dall'altro perché realizzati a mano, differenze che riguardano le dimensioni così come il colore. Il colore, a seconda della luce da cui viene illuminato, che sia naturale o artificiale, fredda o calda, può variare, riscontrabile nelle varie fotografie.

In questo caso potete vedere che i beads hanno sfumature molto diverse uno dall’altro, che tendono maggiormente al giallo o al beige o al grigio azzurro. 

 

Il motto che Trollbeads ha donato al bracciale start Gioia di Vivere è: “Lasciati inebriare dai profumi che ti circondano e assapora i momenti di gioia e condivisione”.

Trollbeads che solitamente predilige i fiori, questa volta ha voluto fare una dedica speciale all’autunno, dove gli alberi e le foglie sono protagonisti di uno scenario in continuo mutamento, in attesa dell’inverno in cui tutto riposa.

Nel suo insieme questo nuovo start è decisamente piacevole, proprio perché differente dagli altri prodotti e perché assolutamente in tema con la stagione che stiamo vivendo.

La sola cosa che ho notato a discapito della aspettativa, riguarda il bead in vetro che, dalle foto istituzionali sembrava essere maggiormente definito sia nelle sottili righe orizzontali, sia nell’amalgama dei colori. In realtà, visto dal vivo, il bead risulta con minor dettaglio e maggiori macchie di colore.

Anche gli aghi hanno un colore più chiaro rispetto al bordeaux intenso che si poteva notare nelle foto a catalogo.

Detto questo, proprio perché i vetri hanno la peculiarità di essere differenti, può risultare non essere un elemento a sfavore ma una caratteristica di unicità, nonostante le aspettative.

Sarà quindi interessante vedere quale scegliere tra le svariate sfumature presenti, nella quasi certezza di avere un bead all’interno dello start davvero unico.

Pensando all’autunno ricordo una fila di alberi, adiacenti ai giardini pubblici dove ero solita andare da bambina. Mi incutevano timore, così possenti, dalle larghe foglie che già ad agosto iniziavano a mutare colore e poi quei loro frutti marroni, custoditi da un guscio verde irto di spine, temevo sempre potessero cadermi in testa poiché ogni tanto sentivo il tonfo dei gusci che, staccandosi dai rami, si aprivano e lasciavano intravedere le “castagne matte”, sì così le chiamava mia nonna perché non erano commestibili. 

A terra ve n’erano davvero tanti ed anche camminare per schivarli era un’impresa, mentre c’era chi, decisamente più impavido di me, li raccoglieva e li lanciava in un intento di scherzo alquanto maldestro.

Io invece mi limitavo a raccogliere qualche castagna matta uscita dal guscio, qualche foglia scesa a terra e ad ammirare quegli alberi, gli ippocastani, tra i primi a vivere il foliage.

L’ippocastano, nel libro di Irène Cohen-Janca illustrato da Maurizio A.C. Quarello, tradotto da Paolo Cesari e pubblicato in Italia da Orecchio Acerbo, intitolato “L’albero di Anne”, è protagonista di una storia che lui stesso narra, presentandosi come colui che per primo annuncia l’arrivo della primavera e dell’autunno. Sente che sta per morire, un parassita mina la sua vita e così decide di raccontare quello che accadde al numero 263 di Prinsengracht ad Amsterdam, nel giardino dove viveva da oltre centocinquanta anni.

Un ippocastano può vivere fino a trecento anni, quindi la sua è stata una vita relativamente breve, come quella di Anne, la ragazza che teneva un diario a cui affidava i suoi pensieri e che grazie a lui godeva dello scandire delle stagioni, nonostante fosse relegata in una soffitta.

Con notevole grazia l’autrice, che si rivolge a bambini e ragazzi attraverso la voce narrante dell’ippocastano, li porta a conoscenza di quella che è stata parte della vita di Anne Frank, la giovane ebrea morta nel campo di concentramento di Bergen-Belsen a soli sedici anni.

Un libro toccante, con bellissime illustrazioni di pregevole sensibilità artistica, che rende onore e dignità ad una storia che non si ricorda mai a sufficienza, permettendo ai più giovani di riflettere sul genocidio degli ebrei, per non dimenticare.

Vi lascio uno stralcio tratto dal libro “L’albero di Anne”.

“Io, l’ippocastano del giardino al numero 253 di Prinsengracht,

ho regalato a una ragazza di tredici anni,

prigioniera come un uccello in gabbia,

un po’ di speranza e di bellezza.

A lei, che nel suo nascondiglio sognava di sentire sul viso l’aria gelata,

il calore del sole e il morso del vento,

con le mie metamorfosi ho regalato lo spettacolo delle stagioni.”

Se non lo conoscete già, anche se non avete bambini o ragazzi con cui leggerlo insieme, e se vi piacciono i libri illustrati, vi consiglio di cuore di recuperarlo in biblioteca o di acquistarlo, è un libro che merita tanto e che vi lascerà un moto di speranza, perché questo in fondo è l’altro suo messaggio.

Trollbeads Woodland Bracelet the new start bracelet dedicated to Autumn 

On October 15th Trollbeads officially presents the new start bracelet, dedicated to the autumn season, Woodland Bracelet, by Trollbeads Design Group.

For those new to the world of Trollbeads, the "start" bracelet is so called because it consists of four basic elements to start what one day may become a complete modular bracelet.

The elements are: a silver lock, a silver foxtail bracelet, a silver bead and a glass bead.

So composed, this is the classic start that Trollbeads has usually offered on two occasions a year for some time.

Why is buying a start up advantageous? Because the price is promotional, therefore lower than the purchase of the individual components. Furthermore, since it is a Limited Edition, this type of bracelet offers collectors the opportunity to own something exclusive, which will not be reproduced in the catalog.

The Woodland Bracelet actually costs €109 instead of €180, assuming that each single element costs €45.

Definitely a considerable saving, aimed precisely at enticing a new beginning, a jewel to be composed gradually and to wear giving it its own personal meaning, since this is what modular jewels do, they tell a story, the one that each of us intends to tell through the beads. 

Let's now discover the individual components in detail.

The lock has the classic "double" shape of opposing carabiners, which allows on the one hand to attach to the small ovalized ring of the bracelet (the one through which the beads are inserted), on the other to attach to the large round ring used for fasten the bracelet to your wrist.

Practical, it opens and closes very easily and safely, as you feel that the mechanism has a good seal.

As a decoration, on each side of the closure, we find four trilobate applied leaves of different sizes, with engraved ribs, plus some small berries, positioned so as not to preclude its functionality but to enrich it.

The bracelet is in soft silver mesh, also called "fox tail", the size of which can be chosen according to your needs, taking into account that the length includes cm.2 of the closure; for example those who have a wrist of cm.18 will purchase a bracelet of cm.18 "virtual". Why virtual? Because the bracelet will actually be 16 cm long to which the cm.2 virtual lock.

The mechanism may seem a little convoluted for beginners, but retailers are more than knowledgeable to explain and advise you which size to buy.

The silver bead, of medium-small size, has three trefoil leaves, similar to those of the closure, along with five berries. The three leaves join in a triangle forming the opening to be able to introduce the bracelet. The hole is large and a bracelet other than Trollbeads can also be inserted, such as that of Ilko Beads and that of Pandora.

The veins of the leaves, with respect to the closure, are slightly incised here.

The glass bead has a variegated base in light pastel tones of beige, hazelnut, blue gray, pink with a haze of very light green and yellow, in an almost holographic effect, which can imply the color variation of the leaves during the autumn.

The cover glass is transparent and holds several needles in burgundy color that recall the veins of the leaves.

All glass beads have the peculiarity of differing from each other because they are handmade, differences that concern the size as well as the color. The color, depending on the light from which it is illuminated, whether natural or artificial, cold or warm, can vary, which can be found in the various photographs.

In this case you can see that the beads have very different shades from each other, which tend more to yellow or beige or blue-gray.

The motto that Trollbeads has given to the Woodland Bracelet is: “In the mystery morning, find your own path and know that every acorn on your way is a promise of renewal”.

Trollbeads who usually prefer flowers, this time wanted to make a special dedication to autumn, where trees and leaves are the protagonists of a constantly changing scenario, waiting for the winter in which everything rests.

Taken as a whole, this new start is very pleasant, precisely because it is different from the other products and because it is absolutely in line with the season we are experiencing.

The only thing I noticed, at the expense of expectation, concerns the glass bead which, from institutional photos, seemed to be more defined both in the thin horizontal lines and in the amalgamation of colors. In reality, seen live, the bead is with less detail and more color spots.

Even the needles have a lighter color than the intense burgundy that could be seen in the photos in the catalog.

Having said that, precisely because the glasses have the peculiarity of being different, it may not be a negative element but a characteristic of uniqueness, despite expectations.

It will therefore be interesting to see which one to choose from the various shades present, in the almost certainty of having a truly unique bead inside the start.

Thinking of autumn I remember a row of trees, adjacent to the public gardens where I used to go as a child. They frightened me, so powerful, from the large leaves that already in August began to change color and then those brown fruits, guarded by a green shell bristling with thorns, I always feared they could fall on my head because every now and then I heard the thud of the shells that, detaching from the branches, they opened and allowed a glimpse of the “crazy chestnuts”, yes that was what my grandmother called them because they were not edible.

There were so many of them on the ground and even walking to dodge them was a challenge, while there were those who, decidedly more fearless than me, collected them and threw them in a somewhat clumsy joke.

I, on the other hand, limited myself to picking up some crazy chestnuts coming out of their shells, a few leaves that fell to the ground and admiring those trees, the horse chestnuts, among the first to experience the foliage.

The horse chestnut, in the book by Irène Cohen-Janca illustrated by Maurizio A.C. Quarello, translated by Paolo Cesari and published in Italy by Orecchio Acerbo, entitled “L’albero di Anne” (Anne's tree), is the protagonist of a story that he himself tells, presenting himself as the one who first announces the arrival of spring and autumn. He feels that he is about to die, a parasite undermines his life and so he decides to tell what happened at number 263 of Prinsengracht in Amsterdam, in the garden where he had lived for over one hundred and fifty years.

A horse chestnut can live up to three hundred years, so his was a relatively short life, like that of Anne, the girl who kept a diary to which she entrusted her thoughts and who thanks to him enjoyed the passing of the seasons, despite being relegated in an attic.

With remarkable grace, the author, who addresses children and young people through the narrative voice of the horse chestnut, brings them to know what was part of the life of Anne Frank, the young Jewish woman who died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at only sixteen.

A touching book, with beautiful illustrations of valuable artistic sensitivity, which pays honor and dignity to a story that is never remembered sufficiently, allowing the youngest to reflect on the genocide of the Jews, so as not to forget.
