Trollbeads Day 2022

Sabato 11 giugno 2022 si celebra il Trollbeads Day, ovvero un giorno speciale dedicato a tutti i fans Trollbeads.

Questa iniziativa è nata nel 2014, ogni dodici mesi un nuovo bead in Edizione Limitata, con inciso l’anno di uscita, una chicca per veri collezionisti ed appassionati del marchio.

Di seguito troverete, dal 2014 al 2021, i vari beads che si sono succeduti.

2014: bead in argento “I Tre Guardiani”, del designer Søren Nielsen.

2015: bead in vetro sfaccettato "L'Alba dei Sogni", della designer Lise Aagaard.

2016: anno in cui ricorreva il quarantesimo anniversario dell'azienda fondata nel 1976, il bead in oro "Quadrifoglio della Fortuna" a cui ha fatto seguito il "Bracciale Quadrifoglio della Fortuna" in argento, con chiusura e bead raffiguranti un insieme di quadrifogli, del designer Søren Nielsen.

2017: pietra sfaccettata "Quarzo Rutilato", della designer Lise Aagaard.

2018: due beads in ambra a cui sono state sovrapposte piccole api in argento, "Ali del Tempo", della designer Lise Aagaard. 

2019: set di beads in porcellana dipinta "Porcellana Cinese", dei designers Kim Buck e Zhang Qiao.

2020: set di beads in vetro intarsiato "Trollbeads Day 2020", della designer Neetu Gupta.

2021: tre beads in argento e pietre preziose, “Doni dell’Oceano”, “Doni del Cielo” e “Doni della Terra”, del designer Søren Nielsen.

Quest’anno il bead celebrativo del Trollbeads Day è “Tesoro Nascosto”, un bead in vetro sfaccettato della designer Lise Aagaard.

Il bead, in Edizione Limitata, vede inciso sul rivetto in argento l’anno 2022. Il suo costo è di €55.

La peculiarità di questa edizione è la diversità, i beads infatti sono tutti uno diverso dall’altro, con colori che vanno dal malva, al lavanda, al blu, al viola, al verde, al rosa, al beige, tutti con sfumature particolari e ricoperti da avventurina ramata, per dare un tocco scintillante, mentre la sfaccettatura ne enfatizza l’effetto glitter e riflette in maniera differente i colori a seconda della luce. Tutte caratteristiche di un prodotto realizzato a mano.

Per i detrattori dei glitter, questo bead potrebbe risultare troppo sfarzoso, ho potuto notare però che qualche bead, proprio perché fatto a mano, ha minor quantità di avventurina e quindi meno luccicante e un poco più “rock”.

Tesoro Nascosto è un bead particolare e mai come questa volta la lavorazione rende il vetro camaleontico, poiché non solo cambia colore in base alla luce da cui viene irradiato, ma muta colore anche a seconda della superficie su cui viene posato, come un vero camaleonte.

Che sia luce del mattino, del pomeriggio, con sole o nubi, che sia luce ambiente o artificiale, vedrete cambiare il colore del vostro beads in men che non si dica.

Questa è una caratteristica che lo rende davvero unico nel suo genere, così come la parte laterale dove viene inserito il rivetto in argento, mostra un aspetto di colore pieno e variegato, dove è possibile immaginare i vari passaggi necessari a creare il bead, poiché, come è stato dimostrato in varie occasioni dagli artigiani del vetro ambasciatori Trollbeads, la creazione di un vetro abbisogna di circa cento passaggi, tenendo anche conto del fatto che ogni colore reagisce al calore della fiamma in modo differente, richiedendo tecnica, competenza e dando così vita ad una vera e propria piccola opera d’arte.

Difficile da immortalare, ho comunque provato a fotografarlo in diverse situazioni di luce: a luce ambiente ed alla luce diretta del sole, in orari differenti del giorno.

Così come l’ho fotografato su diversi fondali, per rendere l’idea di quanto il bead possa mutare.

Il colore che vira al blu, ricorda Deserto Blu, uno tra i primi bead ad avere all’interno una spruzzata “glitter”. Unica differenza che il bead è liscio, mentre Tesoro Nascosto è sfaccettato.

Vederne una dozzina insieme è un bell’effetto ed ho così composto un bracciale di soli Tesoro Nascosto; debbo dire che mi piacerebbe molto indossarlo così…non fosse per il prezzo che ne risulta.

Sta bene anche da solo, in un bangle, o in coppia anche su di un bracciale in cuoio, per sdrammatizzarne l’eleganza.

Quando dovrete scegliere il vostro, immagino sarà una impresa ardua, un po’ come cercare appunto un “tesoro nascosto”… poiché a colpo d’occhio sono tutti affascinanti.

Chi è abituato ad acquistare online, non avendo magari la opportunità di un rivenditore Trollbeads vicino casa o magari per motivi di poco tempo a disposizione per recarsi in gioielleria, penserà di essere penalizzato non potendo vedere di persona questo vetro camaleontico. Il mio consiglio dunque è quello di farvi inviare qualche foto o un breve video e di essere predisposti ad un margine di tolleranza, poiché, come vi ho già spiegato, Tesoro Nascosto è un bead davvero difficile da fotografare alla perfezione, richiede tempo che non sempre i rivenditori hanno a disposizione.

Andate quindi in fiducia, magari riferite quale colore vi piacerebbe avere, se blu o verde o rosa o altro e lasciatevi consigliare attraverso un paio di foto e magari lasciatevi anche stupire, senza richiedere troppi dettagli, un po’ come immedesimarsi in un piccolo Troll a spasso nei boschi, alla ricerca di una pietra preziosa da portare a casa come amuleto e da associare a un ricordo, o come come immergersi sott’acqua, immaginando di avere trovato nel fondale marino, posato semiaperto a fianco di un vecchio galeone, un baule colmo di questi tesori che inneggiano a guardare alla bellezza così come al lato positivo delle cose.

Il bead che ho scelto per me, vira sul rosa.

Strano, perché sin da quando vidi le prime immagini istituzionali, mi innamorai della versione grigio/blu, un colore più simile a certe pietre da cui sono attratta, come la labradorite.

Ma il bello è lasciarsi sorprendere e, come dico spesso anche riferendomi ad altro, non sono stata io a cercare il bead ma è stato lui a trovare me.

Al momento lo indosso così, nel bangle in rame, con cui si accoppia piacevolmente avendone gli stessi riflessi d’avventurina.

Il suo motto recita “Trovami e la tua vita si illuminerà di bellezza”, sembra perfetto non solo per un acquisto e una dedica rivolta a noi stessi ma sembra perfetto da regalare perché, come dice il proverbio, “Chi trova un amico, trova un tesoro” e Tesoro Nascosto potrebbe essere il modo per suggellare una amicizia a cui teniamo.

Insomma, alla fine ogni scusa è buona per acquistare un bead ;-)

Prima di salutarvi vorrei ringraziare chi tra voi mi ha scritto per avere notizie circa le mie recensioni, sentendone la mancanza.

Avrete senz’altro notato infatti che da qualche mese non scrivo qui sul blog.

Purtroppo mi è capitata una di quelle disavventure (se così vogliamo chiamarla) che mi hanno impedito di scrivere, di fotografare, di mettere insieme le due cose con creatività, poiché ne ero assolutamente sprovvista.

L’avventura non è ancora finita per me, sentivo però che questo Trollbeads Day non potevo lasciarlo passare senza un cenno nel mio blog e così, se oggi scrivo, è grazie anche alle vostre richieste e lusinghe, con la speranza di non avervi deluso. Sappiate comunque  che ce l’ho messa tutta e che questa recensione è stata come un banco di prova per me, mi auguro quindi che apprezzerete almeno lo sforzo (perché davvero non è stato facile).

Ed ora, come sempre, attendo di sapere cosa ne pensate di questo nuovo bead, vi piace? Non vi piace? Avreste preferito un argento?

Solitamente io prediligo gli argenti per celebrare un evento, debbo ammettere però che questo vetro ha fascino e si farà probabilmente ricordare come uno dei Trollbeads Day più apprezzati.

TROLLBEADS DAY 2022

Trollbeads Day is celebrated on Saturday 11 June 2022, a special day dedicated to all Trollbeads fans.

This initiative was born in 2014, a new Limited Edition bead every twelve months, with the year of release engraved, a treat for true collectors and enthusiasts of the brand.

Below you will find, from 2014 to 2021, the various beads that have followed.

2014: silver bead “Three Guardians”, by designer Søren Nielsen.

2015: faceted glass bead "Trollbeads Day Bead 2015”, by designer Lise Aagaard.

2016: the 40th anniversary of the company founded in 1976, the gold bead “Clover Bead” followed by the “Lucky Friends Bracelet" in silver, with clasp and bead depicting a set of four-leaf clovers, by designer Søren Nielsen.

2017: “Golden Rutilated Quartz" faceted stone, by designer Lise Aagaard.

2018: two amber beads overlaid with small silver bees, "Wings of Amber Single” and “Wings of Amber With Two Beads” by designer Lise Aagaard.

2019: set of "Chinese Porcelain" painted porcelain beads, by designers Kim Buck and Zhang Qiao.

2020: set of inlaid glass beads "Trollbeads Day 2020 Kit”, by designer Neetu Gupta.

2021: three beads in silver and precious stones, “Trollbeads Day Ocean", “Trollbeads Day Sky” and “Trollbeads Day Earth", by designer Søren Nielsen.

This year, the bead celebrating Trollbeads Day is “Troll Agate”, a faceted glass bead by designer Lise Aagaard.

The bead, in Limited Edition, sees the year 2022 engraved on the silver rivet. Its cost is € 55.

The peculiarity of this edition is the diversity, in fact the beads are all different from each other, with colors ranging from mauve, lavender, blue, purple, green, pink, all with particular shades and covered with aventurine copper, to give a sparkling touch, while the facet emphasizes the glitter effect and reflects the colors differently depending on the light. All characteristics of a handmade product.

For the detractors of glitter, this bead could be too gorgeous, but I could notice that some beads, precisely because they are handmade, have less aventurine and therefore less sparkling and a little more "rock".

Troll Agate is a particular bead and never like this time the processing makes the glass chameleon-like, since it not only changes color according to the light from which it is irradiated, but also changes color depending on the surface on which it is placed, like a real chameleon.

Whether it is light in the morning, in the afternoon, with sun or clouds, whether it is ambient or artificial light, you will see the color of your bead change in no time at all.

This is a feature that makes it truly unique, as well as the side part where the silver rivet is inserted, shows a full and variegated color appearance, where it is possible to imagine the various steps necessary to create the bead, since, as has been demonstrated on various occasions by the glass artisans ambassadors Trollbeads, the creation of a glass requires about a hundred steps, also taking into account the fact that each color reacts to the heat of the flame in a different way, requiring technique, competence and thus giving life to a real small work of art.

Difficult to capture, I still tried to photograph it in different light situations: in ambient light and in direct sunlight, at different times of the day.

Just as I photographed it on different backdrops, to give an idea of how much the bead can change.

The color that turns blue is reminiscent of Blue Desert Bead, one of the first beads to have a "glitter" sprinkle inside. The only difference is that the bead is smooth, while the Troll Agate is faceted.

Seeing a dozen of them together is a beautiful effect and I have thus composed a bracelet of only Troll Agate, I must say that I would very much like to wear it like this ... were it not for the resulting price.

It also looks good on its own, in a bangle, or in pairs even on a leather bracelet, to play down its elegance.

When you have to choose yours, I imagine it will be a difficult task, a bit like looking for a "hidden treasure" ... because at a glance they are all fascinating.

Those used to buying online, perhaps not having the opportunity of a Trollbeads retailer close to home or perhaps for reasons of limited time available to go to the jewelry store, will think they will be penalized not being able to see this chameleon glass in person. My advice, therefore, is to have some photos or a short video sent to you and to be prepared to a margin of tolerance, since, as I have already explained, Troll Agate is a really difficult bead to photograph perfectly, it takes time that does not always dealers have at their disposal.

So go confidently, maybe tell what color you would like to have, whether blue or green or pink or other and let us advise you through a couple of photos and maybe even let yourself be amazed, without requiring too many details, a bit like identifying yourself with a little Troll a walking in the woods, looking for a precious stone to take home as an amulet and to associate with a memory, or like diving under water, imagining that you have found a trunk in the seabed, placed half-open next to an old galleon full of these treasures that praise looking at beauty as well as the positive side of things.

The bead I chose for myself turns pink.

Strange, because ever since I saw the first institutional images, I fell in love with the gray / blue version, a color more similar to certain stones I am attracted to, such as labradorite.

But the beauty is to be surprised and, as I often say also referring to something else, it was not me who looked for the bead but it was he who found me.

At the moment I wear it like this, in the copper bangle, with which it pairs nicely, having the same aventurine reflections.

His motto, which reads "We are in the enchanted forest, looking for trolls and treasures", seems perfect not only for a purchase and a dedication to ourselves but it seems perfect as a gift because, as the saying goes, "Whoever finds a friend, find a treasure" and Troll Agate could be the way to seal a friendship we care about.

In short, in the end, any excuse is a good one to buy a bead ;-)

The beads I photographed are from Righi jewelery in Modena (Italy) which, as a Premium Plus Lab retailer, has a considerable assortment.

This year no dedicated gadgets, along with the purchase of the bead, but I am sure that retailers will have something to offer their customers ;-)

Before saying goodbye, I would like to thank those of you who wrote to me for news about my reviews, missing them.

In fact, you may have noticed that I haven't written here on the blog for a few months.

Unfortunately, one of those misadventures (if we want to call it that) happened to me that prevented me from writing, photographing, putting the two together creatively, since I was absolutely without them.

The adventure is not over yet for me, but I felt that this Trollbeads Day I could not let it pass without a mention on my blog and so, if I write today, it is also thanks to your requests and flattery, with the hope of not having disappointed you. However, know that I did my best and that this review was like a test case for me, so I hope that you will at least appreciate the effort (because it really wasn't easy).

Usually I prefer silver to celebrate an event, but I must admit that this glass has charm and will probably be remembered as one of the most popular Trollbeads Day.
