Il People’s Bead indetto da Trollbeads, per il secondo anno consecutivo vede il nostro tricolore sventolare vincente.
Difatti questa edizione 2022, la quattordicesima, è stata vinta dall’italiana Patrizia Tinelli con il bead Fiori di Pesco.
Quando nacque il concorso e in cosa consiste?
Il People’s Bead vide la luce per la prima volta nel 2009, anno in cui vinse l’australiana Suzanne Marie Hopping con il bead Pax.
Il concorso permette a chiunque di partecipare in veste di aspirante designer, dando così sfogo alla fantasia anche se non si è dei disegnatori provetti, poiché si possono presentare disegni realizzati a computer, fotomontaggi, schizzi, collage. Chi sa disegnare a mano libera o si destreggia con programmi di grafica, sarà avvantaggiato nell’illustrare il proprio progetto, ma non è un requisito fondamentale. Questo denota che tutti, ma proprio tutti, possono divenire designer, purché di base ci sia una idea che possa essere tradotta in bead.
Chi valuta il progetto migliore? Noi, che possiamo partecipare come giudici e, attraverso varie fasi di votazione, decretare il vincitore. Per questo motivo il concorso è stato nominato “people’s bead”, perché la gente sia protagonista, in veste di designer, di giudice o entrambi.
Procedendo in ordine cronologico, nel 2010 vinse Kristi Denning con il bead Orso Polare.
Nel 2011 vinse Denise Tong con il bead Onda Marina.
La edizione del 2012 fu speciale perché ci furono ben undici vincitori che diedero vita alla Collezione Spirituale: Daniele Celani con il bead Preghiera; Allan Bayer con il bead Dragone Spirituale; Carolyn Brettell con il bead Piuma; Elisabetta Marini con il bead Rosario; Marta Kubešová con il bead Luce di Spirito; Yumi Shimizu con il bead Giardino dell’Eden; Jolanda J. Hos con il bead Chakra Arcobaleno; Silvia Lacurto con il bead Acchiappasogni; Kevin Powell con il bead Luce Divina; Maria af Rolén con il bead Pensiero Positivo; Linda Caruso con il bead Mondo Riflesso.
Anche il 2013 fu una edizione speciale con cinque vincitori che diedero vita alla collezione I detti Tradizionali: Valentina Rocchi con il bead L’Amore è Cieco; Rachel Morris con il bead Ghiande; Shizue Ishiwata con il bead Sakura; Iris Heyer con il bead Rinascita; Rebecca Cresswell con il bead Lato Positivo.
Il 2014 invece vide unica vincitrice Mirjam Seling con il bead Equilibrio.
Nel 2015 vinse Amanda White con il bead Viaggio Tropicale.
A celebrazione dei quarant’anni del marchio, il concorso del 2016 lo vinse l’italiano Giuseppe Di Meo con il bead Viva la Vita.
Nel 2017 vinse Lily Sun con il bead Dragoni Danzanti che eccezionalmente, essendo un bead in argento, venne riprodotto in due versioni: tutto in argento ed in argento e oro.
Il 2018 vide Linda Kucina vincitrice con il bead Luce del Nord.
Nel 2019 vinse l’italiana Giada Manfredi con il bead Turtle Flower.
Il 2020, vide per la seconda volta vincitrice Amanda White con il bead Abbraccio della Natura.
Nel 2021 vinse Gaetano Preti con il Pendente Cielo Stellato.
Come consuetudine ormai, le interviste sono parte integrante di questo mio blog, così ho chiesto a Patrizia Tinelli se potevo intervistarla in occasione della vincita del concorso e, molto gentilmente, ha accettato.
Patrizia Tinelli, classe 1974, nasce nella città di Ravenna un po’ per caso, poiché i genitori per lavoro viaggiavano spesso, ma le radici sono a Sanremo dove tutt’ora abita con la sua famiglia, composta dal marito, tre figli di cui un maschio e due femmine, che dice abbiano caratteri molto diversi, e tre cani, un labrador pasticcione di colore bianco e due volpini (madre e figlio). Riguardo il volpino maschio, Foxy, Patrizia racconta di averlo rianimato alla nascita e, da allora, dice essersi creato un imprinting speciale al punto che Foxy è divenuto la sua ombra.
La scuola dell’obbligo, vissuta come tale, l’ha detestata mentre la scuola infermieri le è piaciuta e si è impegnata, ora difatti lavora in Pronto Soccorso a Sanremo, un lavoro duro ed estenuante ma che la gratifica tanto.

Come hobby, quando le rimane la forza dopo il lavoro, ama camminare con la macchina fotografica al collo per immortalare soprattutto elementi della natura, con l’obiettivo macro realizza scatti molto interessanti, come questi che vedete con api e fiori. Anni fa realizzò persino una mostra dedicata appunto a fiori ed insetti.

Parlando di fiori, il suo preferito è il papavero e le piace conoscere il potere che ogni pianta possiede. Per questo ha diversi libri su piante, fiori e radici. Amando tutto ciò che è magico ed essendo affascinata dal mondo della stregoneria, si ingegna a creare “intrugli” fitoterapici per piccoli rimedi, poi qualche candela accesa, un po’ di incenso e, se la intenzione della persona coinvolta è forte e sentita, si possono realizzare cose speciali. Non sarà dunque un caso che Triora, piccolo borgo denominato “delle streghe”, sia un luogo che ama particolarmente e che si trovi vicino casa sua.
C’è poi un altro luogo del cuore per Patrizia, nonché suo angolo di paradiso, si chiama Pessina Cremonese, un paese della Lombardia di pochissime anime, lì ha una casa di famiglia sperduta tra i campi, dove le piace andare per estraniarsi dal mondo, insieme ai suoi cari.
Abitando in una città di mare, ama nuotare ma non prendere il sole come una lucertola.
Le piace rilassarsi davanti alla televisione guardando un bel film o una serie tv, come genere ama gli horror e recentemente ha visto la serie tv Outlander, trovandola romantica e fantasiosa.
Gioca a tennis insieme al padre ed al fratello con cui fa tante risate, poiché dice essere una famiglia, la sua, che ama prendersi in giro e scherzare.
Patrizia, tra le tante passioni ed interessi, ha anche quella per le rane albine, che alleva nel suo acquario ma, pur allevando queste rane, che a me a dire il vero fanno un poco impressione, i ragni la terrorizzano!

Parlando invece di cucina, tra i piatti preferiti la parmigiana di melanzane e la pizza che prepara la sua mamma, dice ne abbia inventata una per lei e per gli amici dandole il nome di Angelica. Suona come qualcosa di celestiale, sarà sicuramente da leccarsi i baffi ;-)
Sulle amicizie Patrizia ritiene che il famigerato detto “chi trova un amico trova un tesoro” sia veritiero, poiché la vera amicizia è qualcosa di raro. Quindi non tanti amici ma due del cuore.
Patrizia, che ama mettersi alla prova, quest’anno ha due progetti: uno è quello di iscriversi ad una scuola di inglese per poterlo parlare bene, l’altro lo scoprirete leggendo la intervista che trovate di seguito.

Te la aspettavi o semplicemente ci speravi?
Avevo la sensazione che sarei finita in finale ma non sapevo con quale progetto, e non so spiegarmi il perché di questa sensazione, infatti non mi sono stupita di questo ma la vittoria proprio non me la aspettavo!!! C’erano progetti stupendi che gareggiavano, non prevedevo di vincere.
Per il secondo anno consecutivo l’Italia si aggiudica la vincita del concorso, l’anno precedente fu per mano di Gaetano Preti “Sparrow” con il Pendente Cielo Stellato, un bead pendente in vetro.
Quest’anno Italia ancora protagonista grazie a te Patrizia ed al tuo Fiori di Pesco.
Sarà un caso che il progetto risultato vincente anche quest’anno sia un vetro?
Quali beads prediligi Patrizia, in vetro o in argento?
Non saprei dirti se sia un caso o no, non conosco le dinamiche o le scelte su cosa vertano o il perché. Personalmente prediligo i vetri anche se non concepisco composizioni di soli vetri, gli argenti sono indispensabili per la buona riuscita di un bracciale strepitoso.
Il significato donato a Fiori di Pesco, “Questi fiori sono un segno di amore immenso, eterno e immortale”, sembra voler abbracciare l’amore in senso lato, qualunque esso sia ed a chiunque sia rivolto: è questo il messaggio intrinseco che attribuisci ai fiori dell’albero di pesco? Rappresentano per te l’amore incondizionato?
Sì amore a tutto tondo, l’importante che sia sincero ed eterno, per un compagno o compagna, per un figlio, per un fratello o sorella, un genitore. L’amore che fa girare il mondo, romantico, delicato, avvolgente come i fiori di pesco che avvolgono il mio bead.
Hai partecipato al concorso con svariati progetti, sei soddisfatta di avere vinto con questo o avresti preferito vedere riprodotto un altro bead?
Ho partecipato con diversi progetti, come vetro questo lo adoravo ma come argento avrei voluto vincesse l’anello semplicemente perché amo gli anelli, amo portarli. Erano i miei due progetti preferiti.

A proposito di riproduzione, rispetto il tuo disegno, il bead delle immagini istituzionali sembra avere una sostanziale differenza, anziché un ramo posto traverso e colmo di fiori, risulta avviluppato da un reticolo di rametti e fiorellini. Probabilmente non sempre è possibile riprodurre fedelmente il design originale, per motivi legati alla semplificazione per produzione in larga scala o semplicemente per libera interpretazione di chi ha materialmente realizzato il bead in vetro. Questa differenza dal tuo design, come la interpreti? Ti piace ugualmente o avresti preferito maggior attinenza?
Sono comunque riuscita a trovare, tra i diversi, un bead che credo sia più somigliante al tuo progetto di base. Questa è la dimostrazione che i beads, essendo fatti a mano, sono uno diverso dall’altro.
Ho notato anche io un po’ di diversità tra il progetto iniziale e la realizzazione finale, quando me lo immaginavo lo pensavo più simile a quello disegnato da me, la prima foto che vidi girare mi lasciò un po’ sorpresa. Poi l’ho visto meglio e dal vivo, e debbo dire che più lo guardo e più mi piace, il senso lo hanno raggiunto, dolce e delicato, romantico e raffinato. Certo, sono davvero tutti diversi, alcuni con colori molto carichi ed altri un po’ meno, ma mi piace quindi sono felice.

Immaginando di partecipare anche il prossimo anno, cosa miglioreresti, a livello “tecnico”, nel concorso?
Io, ad esempio, come gli anni precedenti, credo di non essere riuscita a vedere tutte le proposte e quindi, da giurata, un votazione la mia incompleta.
Sì, in effetti i progetti erano tantissimi e credo che molte persone non abbiano completato il giro, alcune me lo hanno anche detto. Migliorerei il modo di poterli votare, ne mostrerei di più contemporaneamente e darei un limite di bozzetti a partecipante.
Patrizia, puoi raccontare come hai ricevuto la notizia della vittoria e quale è stata la tua reazione?
Il premio in cosa è consistito?
La reazione, mesi fa, è stata di incredulità, ho dovuto leggere due volte la mail e poi l’ho fatta leggere ai miei familiari per conferma, ero completamente frastornata, avrei urlato ma, non volendo spaventare nessuno in casa, mi sono fatta bastare qualche salto e lacrima di gioia. Mantenere la riservatezza per tutti quei mesi non è stato facile.
Il premio è consistito nel ricevere il mio bead con rivetto in oro insieme ad un bracciale ed una chiusura, accompagnati da lettera di congratulazioni. Trollbeads Italia poi mi ha coccolata con tanti altri doni ed attenzioni.

Per molti appassionati e collezionisti, divenire designer Trollbeads è un sogno. Il tuo si è avverato. Cosa suggerisci a chi intende intraprendere questa avventura ed a chi ci prova da tempo senza successo?
Suggerisco di provarci e di non demordere! Per me è stata la seconda volta che ho partecipato. Provateci, raccogliete idee durante l’anno ed al momento opportuno tiratele fuori, vale la pena tentare perché è una esperienza stupenda che obiettivamente, con un minimo di fantasia ed organizzazione, non occupa nemmeno tutto questo tempo.
Sì per un collezionista Trollbeads è il top, un sogno, non esiste nessun concorso altrettanto motivante ed importante. Fatelo, fatelo, fatelo!
Fiori di Pesco sembra perfetto per composizioni primaverili, osando un abbinamento insolito come lo interpreteresti?
Fiori di Pesco è un bead “anche“ primaverile ma non solo, io ad esempio lo abbinerei a rubini o smeraldi e credo che possa stare bene indossato anche in estate. Lo affiancherei alle perle, lo metterei intervallato da argenti floreali, da quarzi fragola o pietre sul bianco, oppure con diamanti sul rosa, insomma credo che per un lungo periodo di mesi potrebbe essere indossato, quantomeno da febbraio - marzo dove i fiori cominciano a sbocciare, sino a tutto settembre e perché no, in alcuni posti dove i fiori non mancano mai (come la mia adorata Sanremo ) anche per molto di più!
Patrizia, da quanti anni sei appassionata di Trollbeads, ricordi il tuo primo bead?
Appassionata da una dozzina di anni, i primi beads sono stati due set, set Oasi con vari argenti tema mare e set Fiori e Fiori Scintillanti. Sono partita alla grande come mio solito, se amo qualcosa o qualcosa mi cattura, sono molto decisa e sicura, non ci penso due volte, vado e compro!
Trollbeads mi ha anche colpita per fatine e personaggi magici, essendo io affascinata dal mondo della stregoneria.

Quale è il tuo peggior incubo e una tua mania riguardo i beads?
Incubo? Che me li possano rubare portandosi via le mie due valigette piene!
Mania? Che abbiano tutti una loro collocazione nella scatolina, che non si rovinino stando attaccati uno all’altro.
Patrizia, raccontaci una curiosità su di te ;-)
Mi piace camminare, ho fatto diversi cammini nella mia vita più o meno lunghi e continuerò a farli, dal Cammino di Santiago a cammini più corti in Italia come la Via degli Dei, la Via del Sale; ad ottobre ho in progetto di percorrere il Cammino dei Borghi Silenti.
Come ultima domanda, o magari due, toglimi una curiosità…
Abitando tu a Sanremo, patria non solo dei fiori ma anche del famigerato Festival canoro, sei mai stata al Teatro Ariston ad assistere ad una delle serate del Festival? E come vivi la città in quel periodo un po’ sotto assedio?
Sì sono stata al Festival di Sanremo anni fa ma è da diversi anni che non vado più.
La città… un incubo, un delirio ma l’essere caotica per Sanremo è una costante, abbiamo tante cose che attraggono turisti da tutto il mondo e tanti eventi anche sportivi, non solo il festival, quindi siamo abituati ;-)
Partecipare a una serata di Sanremo mi sarebbe sempre piaciuto. Chissà magari capiterà e magari anche di andarci insieme, agghindate con i nostri amati Trollbeads ;-)
È stato un piacere Patrizia intervistarti e ti ringrazio per avere subito accettato, per avermi raccontato molte cose nonostante tu abbia detto di essere una persona timida.

Come molti di voi sapranno, Patrizia è stata intervistata da Trollbeads in una diretta Facebook e Instagram, il giorno del lancio di Fiore di Pesco, il 2 settembre scorso.
Per chi non ha avuto modo di vederla, riferisco di un aneddoto che Patrizia ha raccontato.
La sua passione per i fiori di pesco nasce da lontano, dice averli sempre disegnati, dipinti (eh sì perché Patrizia dipinge anche e il suo pittore preferito è Vincent Van Gogh), come un qualcosa di etereo ed eterno che la ispira, e amando i tatuaggi, si è fatta tatuare un ramo di fiori di pesco sul taglio cesareo, donando così un nuovo e personale significato a questo fiore rosa dai delicati petali.
Durante la intervista che ho fatto a Patrizia, mi è stato facile intuire quanto sia una donna forte e volitiva, attorniata da una aurea di dolcezza. La curiosità verso il mondo che la circonda e che osserva attraverso il mirino della macchina fotografica, non è circoscritta ma amplificata dai cammini che ha percorso, momenti di introspezione unici. Il lavoro che svolge poi la rende una persona generosa, prendersi cura degli altri è un dono ma anche una responsabilità. Patrizia ha un cuore d’oro, come il nucleo del bead che ha ricevuto in dono Da Trollbeads in quanto premio per avere vinto il concorso.
Fiori di Pesco è un bead in vetro dove il nucleo centrale risulta essere di colore bianco lattiginoso, mentre il vetro di copertura è trasparente, su cui sono stati realizzati a decoro i rami di pesco in fiore. I fiori rappresentati, sono stilizzati con piccoli pallini in un color rosa/malva mentre i rami in colore simile al Terra di Siena Bruciata.
Le dimensioni sono piccole, rispetto altri bead in collezione, ma in linea di massima questa sembra essere una prerogativa di molti beads Trollbeads, averne rimpicciolite le dimensioni a ben guardare, non sempre risulta sfavorevole, anzi può conferire una allure ancora più pregiata, come in questo caso dove il bead ha un aspetto romantico e delicato.
Di colore neutro, lo ritengo facile da abbinare, sia tono su tono che a contrasto. Come ha detto Patrizia, un bead che, guardato nella ottica giusta, può essere indossato in qualsiasi stagione, per chi ama i fiori.
Il rosa non è tra i miei colori preferiti ma ho voluto “osare” componendo un bracciale tutto in rosa, di unici. L’effetto finale mi piace, risulta etereo e quasi senza tempo.
Mi piace anche infilato nel bangle in rame che, in qualche modo, ricorda i rami dell’albero di pesco.
Fiori di Pesco abbinato alle ambre, a ricordare il colore del miele prodotto dalle api dopo averne succhiato il nettare.
Quando si tratta di votare i progetti del concorso, sono spesso orientata sui beads in argento, la mia passione, ma, nonostante non avessi votato Fiori di Pesco, debbo dire che più lo guardo e più mi piace, molto più di tanti altri fiorellini realizzati negli anni da Trollbeads.
Quindi tanti complimenti a Patrizia per l’idea e per il messaggio che accompagna il bead.

People's Bead Trollbeads 2022: interview with the winner Patrizia Tinelli
The People's Bead announced by Trollbeads, for the second consecutive year sees our tricolor waving as a winner.
In fact, this 2022 edition, the fourteenth, was won by the Italian Patrizia Tinelli with the Peach Blossom Bead.
When was the competition born and what does it consist of?
The People's Bead saw the light for the first time in 2009, the year in which Australian Suzanne Marie Hopping won with the bead Pax.
The competition allows anyone to participate as an aspiring designer, thus giving vent to the imagination even if you are not an expert designer, as you can submit computer-made drawings, photomontages, sketches, collages. Those who can draw freehand or juggle with graphics programs will have an advantage in illustrating their project, but it is not a fundamental requirement. This denotes that everyone, absolutely everyone, can become a designer, as long as there is an idea that can be translated into bead.
Who evaluates the best project? We, who can participate as judges and, through various stages of voting, decree the winner. For this reason, the competition was named "people's bead", so that people are the protagonists, as a designer, as a judge or both.
Proceeding in chronological order, in 2010 Kristi Denning won with the Ice Bear Bead.
In 2011 Denise Tong won with the Rolling Waves Bead.
The 2012 edition was special because there were eleven winners who gave life to the Spiritual Collection: Daniele Celani with the Prayer Pendant; Allan Bayer with the Happy Dragon Bead; Carolyn Brettell with the Feather Bead; Elisabetta Marini with the Rosary Bead; Marta Kubešová with the Spirit Light Bead; Yumi Shimizu with the Heaven’s Garden Bead; Jolanda J. Hos with the Chakra Colours Bead; Silvia Lacurto with Dream Catcher Bead; Kevin Powell with the Loving Light Bead; Maria af Rolén with the Stay Positive Bead; Linda Caruso with the World Within.
2013 was also a special edition with five winners who gave life to the Traditional Sayings Collection: Valentina Rocchi with the Love is Blind Bead; Rachel Morris with the Little Acorns Bead; Shizue Ishiwata with the Sakura Bead; Iris Heyer with the This too… Bead; Rebecca Cresswell with the Silver Lining Bead.
2014 instead saw the only winner Mirjam Seling with the Perfect Balance Bead.
In 2015, Amanda White won with the Tropical Travels Bead.
In celebration of the brand's forty years, the 2016 competition was won by the Italian Giuseppe Di Meo with the Celebrate Life Bead.
In 2017 Lily Sun won with the Dancing Dragons Bead which exceptionally, being a silver bead, was reproduced in two versions: all in silver and in silver and gold.
2018 saw Linda Kucina winning with the Northern Light Magic Bead.
In 2019 the Italian Giada Manfredi won with the Turtle Flower Bead and in 2020, for the second time, Amanda White won with the Framed by Ivy Bead.
In 2021 Gaetano Preti won with the Wishful Sky Tassel.
As is customary now, interviews are an integral part of my blog, so I asked Patrizia Tinelli if I could interview her on the occasion of winning the competition and, very kindly, she accepted.
She hated compulsory school, lived as such, while she liked the nursing school and committed herself, now in fact she works in the emergency room in Sanremo, a hard and exhausting job but one that gratifies her a lot.

As a hobby, when she has strength left after work, she loves to walk with the camera around her neck to immortalize above all elements of nature, with the macro lens she takes very interesting shots, like these you see with bees and flowers. Years ago she even created an exhibition dedicated to flowers and insects.

Speaking of flowers, her favorite is the poppy and she likes to know the power that each plant possesses. For this she has several books on plants, flowers and roots. Loving all that is magical and being fascinated by the world of witchcraft, she strives to create phytotherapeutic "concoctions" for small remedies, then a few lit candles, a little incense and, if the intention of the person involved is strong and heartfelt, yes they can accomplish special things. It will therefore be no coincidence that Triora, a small village called "of the witches", is a place that she particularly loves and that it is near her home.
Then there is another place of the heart for Patrizia, as well as her corner of paradise, it is called Pessina Cremonese, a town in Lombardy with very few souls, there she has a family home lost in the fields, where she likes to go to estrange herself from the world, together with his loved ones.

Living in a seaside town, she loves swimming but not sunbathing like a lizard.
She likes to relax in front of the television watching a good movie or a TV series, as a genre she loves horror and recently she has seen the TV series Outlander, finding it romantic and imaginative.
She plays tennis with her father and brother with whom she laughs a lot, as she says it is a family, her own, that she loves to make fun of and joke about.
Patrizia, among her many passions and interests, also has the one for albino frogs, which she breeds in her aquarium but, while breeding these frogs, which actually disturb me a little, spiders terrify her!
Speaking of cooking, among the favorite dishes the eggplant parmigiana and the pizza that her mother prepares, she says she invented one for her and her friends, giving it the name of Angelica. She sounds like something heavenly, she will definitely be mouth-watering ;-)
On friendships Patrizia believes that the infamous saying “whoever finds a friend finds a treasure” is true, since true friendship is something rare. So not many friends but two of the heart.
Patrizia, who loves to test herself, has two projects this year: one is to enroll in an English school to be able to speak it well, the other you will find out by reading the interview below.

Did you expect it or were you just hoping for it?
I had the feeling that I would end up in the final but I didn't know with which project, and I can't explain the reason for this feeling, in fact I was not surprised by this but I really didn't expect the victory!!! There were wonderful projects competing, I didn't expect to win.
For the second consecutive year, Italy has won the competition, the previous year it was at the hands of Gaetano Preti "Sparrow" with the Wishful Sky Tassel, a glass pendant bead.
This year Italy still protagonist thanks to you Patrizia and your Peach Blossom Bead.
Could it be a coincidence that the winning project again this year is glass?
Which beads do you prefer Patrizia, in glass or silver?
I can't tell you if it's a coincidence or not, I don't know the dynamics or the choices about what they are about or why. Personally I prefer glass even if I do not conceive compositions of glass only, silver is essential for the success of an amazing bracelet.
The meaning given to Peach Blossom Bead, “Give peach flowers as a sign of immense, everlasting, and immortal love", seems to want to embrace love in a broad sense, whatever it is and to anyone it is addressed to: this is the intrinsic message that you attribute to peach tree blossoms? Do they represent unconditional love for you?
Yes, all-round love, the important thing that it is sincere and eternal, for a partner or companion, for a child, for a brother or sister, a parent. Love that makes the world go round, romantic, delicate, enveloping like the peach blossoms that wrap my bead.
Have you entered the competition with various projects, are you satisfied with having won with this one or would you have preferred to see another bead reproduced?
I have participated in several projects, I loved this for glass but I wanted the ring to win as silver simply because I love rings, I love wearing them. They were my two favorite projects.
Speaking of reproduction, compared to your design, the bead of institutional images seems to have a substantial difference, instead of a branch placed across and full of flowers, it is enveloped by a network of twigs and flowers. It is probably not always possible to faithfully reproduce the original design, for reasons related to simplification for large-scale production or simply for the free interpretation of those who materially made the glass bead. How do you interpret this difference from your design? Do you like it anyway or would you have preferred more relevance?
However, I managed to find, among the different ones, a bead that I think is more similar to your basic project. This is the demonstration that the beads, being handmade, are different from each other.
I also noticed a bit of difference between the initial project and the final realization, when I imagined it I thought it more similar to the one drawn by me, the first photo I saw shooting left me a little surprised. Then I saw it better and live, and I must say that the more I look at it the more I like it, the sense has reached it, sweet and delicate, romantic and refined. Of course, they are all really different, some with very intense colors and others a little less, but I like them so I'm happy.
Imagining to participate again next year, what would you improve, on a "technical" level, in the competition?
For example, like in previous years, I believe I was unable to see all the proposals and therefore, as a juror, my vote was incomplete.
Yes, in fact there were a lot of projects and I think many people did not complete the tour, some even told me. I would improve the way to vote them, show more at the same time and give a limit of sketches per participant.
Patrizia, can you tell us how you received the news of the victory and what was your reaction?
What did the prize consist of?
The reaction, months ago, was one of disbelief, I had to read the email twice and then I had my family read it for confirmation, I was completely dazed, I would have screamed but, not wanting to scare anyone in the house, I made myself enough a few leaps and tears of joy. Maintaining confidentiality for all those months wasn't easy.
The reward was to receive my gold riveted bead along with a bracelet and lock, accompanied by a congratulatory letter. Trollbeads Italia then pampered me with many other gifts and attentions.

For many fans and collectors, becoming a Trollbeads designer is a dream. Yours came true. What do you suggest to those who intend to undertake this adventure and to those who have tried for some time without success?
I suggest to try and don't give up! For me it was the second time I participated. Try it, collect ideas during the year and pull them out at the appropriate time. It is worth trying because it is a wonderful experience that objectively, with a minimum of imagination and organization, does not even take up all this time.
Yes, for a collector Trollbeads is the top, a dream, there is no contest that is equally motivating and important. Do it, do it, do it!
Peach Blossom Bead looks perfect for spring compositions, daring an unusual pairing how would you interpret it?
Peach Blossom Bead is "also" a bead spring but not only, for example I would combine it with rubies or emeralds and I think it can be worn even in summer. I would combine it with pearls, I would put it interspersed with floral silvers, strawberry quartz or stones on the white, or with diamonds on the pink, in short, I believe that for a long period of months it could be worn, at least from February - March where the flowers begin to bloom, until the end of September and why not, in some places where flowers are never lacking (like my beloved Sanremo) even for much more!

Patrizia, how many years have you been passionate about Trollbeads, do you remember your first bead?
Passionate for a dozen years, the first beads were two sets, Beach Kit with various sea-themed silvers and Flower Diamond Kit. I started great as usual, if I love something or something it captures me, I am very determined and confident, I don't think twice, I go and buy!
Trollbeads also impressed me for fairies and magical characters, being fascinated by the world of witchcraft.
What is your worst nightmare and your obsession with beads?
Nightmare? May they steal them from me by taking away my two full briefcases!
Mania? That they all have their own place in the box, that they do not get damaged by being attached to each other.
Patrizia, tell us a curiosity about you ;-)
I like to walk, I have made several walks in my life more or less long and I will continue to do them, from the Santiago Way to shorter routes in Italy such as the “Via degli Dei”, the “Via del Sale”; in October I plan to do the Walk of the Silent Villages.
As a last question, or maybe two, take away a curiosity ...
Living in Sanremo, home not only of flowers but also of the infamous song festival, have you ever been to the Ariston Theater to attend one of the evenings of the Festival? And how did you experience the city in that period under siege?
Yes, I was at the Sanremo Festival years ago but I haven't been going for several years.
The city ... a nightmare, a delirium but being chaotic for Sanremo is a constant, we have many things that attract tourists from all over the world and many sporting events, not just the festival, so we're used to it ;-)
I would have always liked to participate in an evening in Sanremo. Who knows maybe it will happen and maybe even go there together, dressed up with our beloved Trollbeads ;-)

As many of you know, Patrizia was interviewed by Trollbeads in a live Facebook and Instagram, on the day of the launch of Peach Blossom Bead, last September 2nd.
For those who have not had the opportunity to see it, I am referring to an anecdote that Patrizia told.
Her passion for peach blossoms comes from afar, she says she has always drawn them, painted them (yes, because Patrizia also paints and her favorite painter is Vincent Van Gogh), as something ethereal and eternal that inspires her, and loving the tattoos, she had a peach blossom branch tattooed on her caesarean section, thus giving a new and personal meaning to this pink flower with delicate petals.
During the interview I did with Patrizia, it was easy for me to understand how strong and strong-willed she is, surrounded by an aura of sweetness. Her curiosity towards the world that surrounds her and that she observes through the viewfinder of the camera, is not limited but amplified by the paths she has traveled, unique moments of introspection. The work she does for her makes her a generous person, taking care of others is a gift but also a responsibility. Patrizia has a heart of gold, like the core of the bead she received as a gift from Trollbeads as a prize for winning the contest.
Peach Blossom Bead is a glass bead where the central core is milky white, while the cover glass is transparent, on which the flowering peach branches have been decorated. The flowers represented are stylized with small dots in a pink / mauve color while the branches in a color similar to Burnt Sienna.
The dimensions are small, compared to other beads in the collection, but in principle this seems to be a prerogative of many Trollbeads beads, having reduced the size on closer inspection, is not always unfavorable, indeed it can give an even more precious allure, as in this case where the bead has a romantic and delicate look.
Neutral in color, I think it is easy to match, both tone-on-tone and in contrast. As Patrizia said, a bead that, looked at in the right perspective, can be worn in any season, for those who love flowers.
Pink is not one of my favorite colors but I wanted to “dare” by composing a bracelet all in pink, unique. I like the final effect, it is ethereal and almost timeless.
I also like it tucked into the copper bangle which, in some ways, recalls the branches of the peach tree.
Peach Blossom Bead combined with amber, to remember the color of honey produced by bees after sucking the nectar.
When it comes to voting for the projects in the competition, I am often oriented on silver beads, my passion, but, despite not having voted Peach Blossom Bead, I must say that the more I look at it the more I like it, much more than many other small flowers made over the years from Trollbeads.
So many congratulations to Patrizia for the idea and for the message that accompanies the bead.
